Your questions answered.
Please find below answers to key questions related to our pause in operations and new policies.
Canceled voyages.
In order to resume sailing, we need confirmation of how and when travel restrictions in the US and around the world will be lifted, and the phased approach that will need to be adopted to re-start operations. Once we have this, we will start the final logistical challenges to prepare our ships to welcome you on board once again. Key to this will be returning our thousands of crew from around the world back to their second home on board the Queens. This will take time, and therefore we need to extend our pause in operations.
Newly paused voyages:
Queen Mary 2 up to including May 28, 2021
M110- M115A
Queen Elizabeth up to and including June 4, 2021
Q117N-Q122N
Queen Victoria’s program remains unaffected and she is scheduled to resume sailings on May 17, 2021.
Your booking will be canceled and you will automatically receive a 125% Future Cruise Credit on monies paid to date on your booking. The Future Cruise Credit will be set up as 2 amounts, one for 100% and one for 25%. This will be applied to your guest account in the coming weeks and can be used for any new sailing that is booked before December 31, 2021.
You can use your Future Cruise Credit on a new booking for any voyages on sale now, or on new voyages that we introduce in the future. For full details on how to book using your Future Cruise Credit, please see our helpful guide.
We have recently launched additional 2022 voyages to give you more flexibility and choice for your future vacation with us.
If you’ve already made a future booking, you can also use your Future Cruise Credit to upgrade your stateroom or fare type on an existing booking. To use your Future Cruise Credit to amend an existing booking you will need to contact your Travel Advisor. If you booked directly with Cunard, please call our Customer Service Department at (800) 728-6273.
We very much hope that you will accept the 125% Future Cruise Credit and enjoy a cruise vacation on board with us. However, if this does not meet your needs and you prefer a refund to the amount of monies paid on your booking, we ask that you use the online form within 60 days of this notice of cancelation.
Please note, we are setting up a large number of Future Cruise Credits for guests. Please bear with us while these are created.
Guests who canceled recently will still be entitled to the Future Cruise Credit offer that they took at point of cancelation.
We are working to process all new and outstanding refund requests as quickly as possible. Due to the extraordinary circumstances associated with Covid-19, we are dealing with an unprecedented level of refunds at this time so please bear with us. We appreciate your patience.
We will not be giving loyalty points for the canceled voyages, but you will get the loyalty points for the new voyage you book.
We apologize that our automated system in some cases has issued an invoice that references cancelation fees. Please disregard this and rest assured that any fees will not be incurred as a result of this cancelation.
Please contact your Travel Insurance provider in the first instance, however, if you are unsuccessful, please send details of your claim with appropriate receipts and confirmation from your Travel Insurance provider that they have denied your claim to Cunard Guest Relations for their consideration.

Voyages still sailing.
We have reduced our final payment due date for sailings through August 15, 2021. For voyages up to 30 nights, final payment is now due 30 days prior to sailing.
For sailings on or after August 16, 2021, the standard cancelation policy in our Booking Conditions applies and Cunard shall be entitled to levy a cancelation charge as a percentage of the fare paid in accordance with the scales on our Passage Contract page.
Future Cruise Credit.
To provide our guests with the best possible service, our systems will automatically generate your 125% Future Cruise Credit 60 days from the date of the cancelation of your voyage to each individual named on the booking. Once your Future Cruise Credit is set up you have until December 31, 2021 to use it in full, for any voyage on sale at that time.
You can use your Future Cruise Credit to make a new booking for any voyage on sale now, or on new voyages that we introduce in the future. You may also use your Future Cruise Credit to upgrade your Cunard fare type or stateroom on an existing booking.
Your Future Cruise Credit must be redeemed before December 31, 2021.
For new bookings, you can redeem your Future Cruise Credit online at Cunard.com: full details can be found in our guide. Alternatively, contact either your Travel Advisor or our Customer Service Department.
To amend an existing booking, please contact either your Travel Advisor or our Customer Service Department if you booked directly with us.
Please note the Future Cruise Credit cannot be used to upgrade any flights connected to your booking.
The Future Cruise Credit can be redeemed against any booking made by December 31, 2021, on any sailing on sale at the time you make your booking.
Yes. If your Future Cruise Credit is not currently showing when you book online, please contact your Travel Advisor or call our Customer Service Department at (800) 728-6273 and we can create your new booking using your Future Cruise Credit. You do not need to wait.
Your available Future Cruise Credit balance is linked to your unique Cunard World Club (CWC) membership number. When booking online, please input your CWC membership number where indicated and the Future Cruise Credit will automatically be applied to any new booking made by December 31, 2021.
If your Future Cruise Credit is not yet showing online at the time you wish to book your voyage, please contact your Travel Advisor or call our Customer Service Department at (800) 728-6273 and they will be able to make the booking on your behalf using any Future Cruise Credit you are due to receive.

Unfortunately, we cannot offer this at present.
Where the cost of the new cruise is more than the Future Cruise Credit, guests can simply pay the difference between the value of the Future Cruise Credit and the deposit or balance payment (if within final payment of voyage departure date).
Please note, deposits are calculated against the remaining balance after your Future Cruise Credit has been applied. The Future Cruise Credit cannot be used against the cost of this deposit.
If you would like to use your Future Cruise Credit as payment across multiple Cunard voyages, please contact your Travel Advisor or call our Customer Service Department.
If booking online, your total Future Cruise Credit balance will be applied against the cost of the new voyage you are booking online. If your Future Cruise Credit balance is greater than the cost of your chosen voyage, your remaining Future Cruise Credit balance will be retained for use towards the payment of another voyage.
Future Cruise Credits will be created for all guests on the booking.
If you had booked one of these now canceled cruises using Future Cruise Credit from a previously canceled cruise, you will receive the same value of that Future Cruise Credit back. If you had paid any extra monies for this cruise, we will turn that amount into a 125% Future Cruise Credit.
