Your tour begins with some sightseeing around the city of Copenhagen. Enjoy a brief photograph stop at The Little Mermaid, erected in gratitude to the famous Danish fairytale writer Hans Christian Andersen. Continue to the Royal Palace Amalienborg and view the palace square, considered by many to be one of the most beautiful squares in Europe, surrounded by four almost identical palaces. Drive past the citadel and the Gefion Fountain, which depicts the legend of the goddess Gefion creating the island of Zealand.
The area of Nyhavn was once famously frequented by sailors, but today it has become a fashionable haunt in the city for drinks, luncheon or dinner. With colourful buildings, tightly packed together along the streets, it’s the perfect backdrop for the wooden ships lining the canal.
Rosenborg Castle stands today as a perfect example of the classic Danish Renaissance-style. With its tall towers, red masonry with sandstone ornaments, it is a distinguished example of Christian IV's many architectural projects. You will enjoy a guided tour through the castle, which includes an opportunity to take a closer look at the royal treasures.
Your tour concludes with a leisurely drive back to the pier, passing Christiansborg Castle, home to the Danish Parliament and the Royal Reception Rooms.
