Drive to Uluwatu Temple, stopping en route at the largest artistic statues built in Southeast Asia. Garuda Wisnu Kencana is a 150-acre cultural park on the hilly southern coast devoted to the Hindu God Vishnu, his mount, Garuda, and the mythical bird that became his companion. Continue to the cliff-top Temple of Uluwatu, one of the most sacred in Bali, and keep an eye out for the local macaque monkeys. Head to Jimbaran Bay, where hundreds of fishing boats take to the water every evening, to appreciate the views and for a delicious seafood lunch.
