Travel back in time in the newly restored wagons of the Pacific Railroad, once used to transport valuable coffee from the highlands to the coastal ports. The train’s panoramic windows will showcase stunning tropical scenery on the way to a small village.

From here, a coach will take you to the Tárcoles River, to explore mangroves teeming with exotic birds. The river shores are also home to colonies of crocodiles, some nearly three metres long.

Before returning to the ship, visit El Jardín Market to browse souvenirs, sample delicious tropical fruit or taste a freshly brewed Costa Rican coffee.
