Covid-19 – Flexible booking terms, updated on 9 June 2020.

In this uncertain environment, we understand that you may appreciate some added flexibility. To that end, we’ve updated our transfer policy. 

Please note that the following Flexible Booking Terms are only applicable to those guests residing and booking in the UK, Europe, Middle East and Africa.

This means prior to the balance due date you can now:

  • Transfer your booking to any Cunard voyage currently on sale (and not just to those within the next 12 months).
  • Transfer your booking to a voyage of higher or lower value (and not just of a higher value, as is usually the case).
  • Transfer your booking an unlimited number of times (and not just once).
  • Transfer your bookings free of charge, as we will waive the current £100 administration charge for each transfer made.

This policy modifies the transfer policy in our Booking Conditions. This policy may be changed or withdrawn at any time without notice.

Cancelling your voyage - updated 9 June 2020.

If you are booked on a Cunard voyage sailing on Queen Victoria or Queen Mary 2 after 1 November 2020, or on Queen Elizabeth after 23 November 2020, and wish to cancel, our standard cancellation policy applies and Cunard shall be entitled to levy a cancellation charge as a percentage of the fare paid in accordance with the following scales.

These policies supersede any information you may have previously received. If you have already submitted a transfer or cancellation based on the previous policy, we will honour this and we will be in touch with confirmation in due course.

Future Cruise Credit (FCC) terms and conditions.

In light of the Covid-19 Pandemic, many guests have accepted FCCs in relation to cancelled cruises. FCCs can be used any time until 31 December 2021 and can be redeemed against any new booking on a Cunard holiday on sale in that period. FCCs can be used on all fare types of Cunard holiday, subject to availability at the time of booking. Where the cost of the new holiday is more than the FCC, guests can simply pay the difference between the value of the FCC and the deposit or balance payment (if within 90 days).

Guests may use their FCC for a second stateroom to bring friends or family with them or to upgrade their existing booking. Should guests wish to do this they should contact their travel agent or us, if they have booked direct.

All new bookings using FCCs will be subject to Cunard Booking Conditions, including our standard cancellation terms. Once an FCC has been applied to a new booking, in the event of a cancellation of a voyage by the guest, any refund will be given in FCC. If your voyage is cancelled by Cunard due to Covid-19, you will offered the same options as all other guests at that time.
