Fly-Cruises

A fly-cruise involves at least one flight along with your cruise. Fly-cruises allow you to experience more of the world, and you can even conveniently book your flights through Cunard, where available, to match up perfectly with your cruise itinerary.

Because flights are often scheduled at shorter notice than cruises are, your flight information will be confirmed close to your departure date (anywhere between 3 and 12 months before departure, depending on the airline and route). You will receive an email confirming details of your flights; if you booked via a travel agent, this will come via your booking agent.

Basic information, such as flight number and times, will also be shown in My Cunard for you to view once they are confirmed. If you need to change anything about your flight, and you booked it with us, please call us at least 7 days prior to departure. Any changes may result in additional costs due to availability and you will receive a new confirmation email with updated information.

Absolutely. You can book your own flights separately through an airline of your choice, extend your stay before or after your cruise with hotels, or even book another cruise. However, booking flights through Cunard includes transfers and operational pre or post hotel accommodation where applicable, which you will not get if you book your flights separately.

You will be given an arrival time on your boarding pass; please try to arrive at the terminal as close to this time as possible to minimise waiting times. If you are arriving by air, ensure you leave plenty of time for baggage re-claim, customs and travel to the cruise terminal. Please discuss latest flight arrival time requirements with the Cunard flights team if you are booking your own flights.

Flights are booked with various scheduled airlines subject to availability and for some of our cruise programmes (for example, our Mediterranean season) we may have charter flights in operation. Currently we do not offer combined pricing for flight and cruises. The fares shown on our websites are cruise only. If you wish to add a flight, they can be added in the latter stages of online booking, and prices will show accordingly.

For guests in North America, Australia and New Zealand, flights are not currently available to add online; please call our local contact centres to enquire about and book flights.

For flights booked through Cunard, your ship will wait for you so you are able to board. In the event a flight has a significant delay, or is cancelled, alternative arrangements will be made so you can meet your ship in another port (our Transatlantic Crossings are an exception to this).

If your flight is not booked with Cunard, the ship will not necessarily wait and you may have to make alternative arrangements.

If you booked your flight through us, you can retrieve your luggage after your flight and proceed through customs. Once you have cleared customs, you will be met by a Cunard representative who will ensure that your luggage is delivered directly to your stateroom on board.

If you have not booked flights via Cunard, you will need to make your own arrangements for transporting your luggage to the ship.
