Solo travellers.

Your own beautifully appointed stateroom, a round-the-clock programme of activities to dip into and countless opportunities to socialise with your fellow guests. There’s much to love about cruising solo with Cunard.

The solo traveller experience.

Whether you’re looking to recharge your batteries or come away with a host of new friends, a solo cruise is a perfect holiday to take by yourself. Even at sea, no two days are the same. You’ll find complimentary activities to enjoy throughout your ship, including coffee mornings and drinks receptions specifically for solo travellers. Dining on a shared table with other cruise guests is also an option (as is eating alone if you prefer) and on port days you’ll be free to explore ashore independently, with other solo cruisers, or as part of an organised shore experience with a small group of your fellow Cunard guests.

Staterooms for solo cruisers.

24-hour room service, complimentary Penhaligon’s toiletries, and a bottle of sparkling wine. When it comes to your on board home-from-home you’ll find our single staterooms pleasantly spacious with a wealth of luxury flourishes to enhance your time at sea. Please note, if booking your voyage online through Cunard.com, single fares will only appear once you select your stateroom grade (either Britannia Inside or Britannia Oceanview) and the number of guests sailing.

While we’re sure you’ll find our solo staterooms meet all your needs and more, you also have the option to book a Britannia double stateroom for a single supplement, should you prefer a little more space.

Solo traveller cruise dining.

One of the joys of cruising solo with Cunard is the spectrum of cuisines you’ll encounter on board, the majority of which are included in your fare. You’ll find signature dishes on each of our menus, inspired by the destinations in which our ships sail. And, while we’ll always keep a table reserved for you in your main restaurant, the choice of where and when to eat is entirely yours – as is the option to eat alone or with your fellow travellers. Simply let our front-of-house team know whenever you’re in the mood for company and we’ll happily accommodate you at a shared table.

How formal (or indeed informal) you choose to be at mealtimes is also your prerogative. Our ships offer a range of dining styles: from a la carte restaurants and a self-service buffet, to gastro pub classics and alfresco deck grills. Between 3.30-4.30pm each day you’ll be invited to indulge in finger sandwiches, patisserie, and our signature Cunard scones as part of our Afternoon Tea service. The midnight buffet, open from 11.30pm, offers warm cocoa and cookies to help you wind down for the night and if you wake up feeling peckish, our 24-hour complimentary room service is always on call.

Solo traveller cruise activities.

If there’s one thing you can guarantee sailing as a solo guest with Cunard, it’s that you’ll never struggle to fill your time. While port calls give you a chance to take in the sights ashore, on board the entertainment never stops flowing. Each day you’ll receive a Daily Programme delivered to your stateroom that outlines the activities and events taking place throughout your ship. This includes many opportunities to connect with other travellers, such as dedicated coffee meetups and cocktail receptions, or by taking part in group activities such as dance classes and team quizzes.

As part of our activities programme you’ll find entertainment including theatre adapted from London’s West End, stand-up comedy, guest speakers, and music from the likes of live orchestras, jazz ensembles and late-night DJs. Daily Insights talks from notable guest speakers are yet another complimentary activity you can enjoy on board, while each of our ships features a casino, an art gallery, a fully equipped gym, and a choice of pools and whirlpools to use at your leisure. There’s even a library if you run out of reading material and Mareel Spa if you feel like rejuvenating with an ocean-inspired treatment.
