Take a drive to the Upper West Side, where a stop will be made near to the Dakota building, where John Lennon once lived. From here, you’ll enjoy a short walking tour through Central Park, New York’s historic landmark and one of the most famous parks in the world.
Next it’s off to visit the Rockefeller Building with its open-air observation deck, which was opened in 1933 by John D Rockefeller to the amazement of New Yorkers. Designed in homage to ocean liners of the day, it quickly became ‘the’ place to view the city. The ‘Top of the Rock’ is said to be one of the best places to see some fantastic views of the city.
After you come back down to Earth, your drive will take you through the midtown area and a stop will be made the Grand Central Terminal, both a transportation hub and destination in itself for visitors to New York City. The charming beaux-arts building has undergone restoration to bring it back to its former glory. Here, you can enjoy some free time and purchase some lunch before taking a drive through the financial district. Close by is the 9/11 Memorial, where a stop will be made for you to view the water features that sit within the original footprints of the twin towers. The names of those lives that were sadly lost are inscribed in bronze on parapets around the edges of each of water feature, and are a serene tribute.
During this tour you’ll also pass by areas such as Harlem, the Lincoln Center, Metropolitan Opera House, Greenwich Village, SOHO, and much, much more.
