Anthony Inglis and the National Symphony Orchestra.

We welcome back Anthony Inglis who will continue to conduct on this special crossing.

During the crossing, guests will be treated to two spectacular performances in the Royal Court Theatre- an evening of American themed numbers and the Last Night of the Cunard Proms itself.

There will be a Q&A with Anthony Inglis where you will also have the opportunity to audition for the choir and practice under the guidance of the NSO, ready for a group performance during the evening’s show.

He is currently Music Director of the London Concert Orchestra and the Welsh mezzo Katherine Jenkins and he has been Music Supervisor/Consultant for Phantom of The Opera at Her Majesty’s Theatre since 1987.

In the world of opera, He has conducted Carmen at the opening of the Llangollen Festival, and in ballet he has conducted all three Tchaikovsky ballets for Birmingham Royal Ballet and English National Ballet.

Mr. Inglis has conducted a number of royal concerts.  A dance gala with The Royal Ballet Sinfonia in the presence of the late Diana, Princess of Wales. 4 concerts with the Royal Philharmonic in the presence of HM The Queen and HRH The Duke of Edinburgh: celebrating the 50^th anniversary of the Battle of Britain, a concert in the grounds of Buckingham Palace celebrating the Diamond Jubilee and transmitted on BBC1, and the naming ceremony for the Cunard ships Queen Mary 2 and Queen Elizabeth. Two with the London Philharmonic in the presence of HRH The Prince of Wales and HRH the Duchess of Cornwall in aid of Farmers and the Naming Ceremony for Cunard’s liner the Queen Victoria. 

In addition to the three Cunard ship naming ceremonies, he conducted the 40^th Anniversary and Farewell concerts of the Queen Elizabeth with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic in Liverpool Cathedral, and all the Round Britain concerts both in Liverpool Cathedral and on board the ships.  Every year since 2009, he and the NSO have crossed the Atlantic on Queen Mary 2 giving a series of concerts.
