The replacement entertainment due to bad weather not so good. Our stateroom bathroom light kept turning off at the most inconvenient times and was never fixed in spite of several requests. The Gratuity concept was completely against the usual "British" way of rewarding those that serve and help you - taking a fixed fee to cover everything at the level suggested suggests crew and staff are not paid what they deserve. Food excellent.

Cruise ok but the service could be better seemed under staffed
Generally the cruise was ok. The dining was fine but nothing exceptional. The service was in places poor. One instance we were told by a waiter that there was a 30minute wait!! I would go on another short cruise but not a long cruise.
Very mediocre standards of service in the Suite and the Britannia Club restaurant. Variable, sometimes poor quality of food in the Britannia Club restaurant.

Der Service und die Freundlichkeit an Bord sind hervorragend, die Ausflüge von guter Qualität und gut organisiert. Einzig die Buchung der Ausflüge im Vorfeld ist sehr mühsam, einerseits die mühseligen Logins in nur zeitweise funktionierenden Homepages, andererseits findet man da zum Teil nur ausgebuchte Ausflüge oder kann sich auf Wartelisten registrieren, ohne je wieder etwas zu hören. Und dies, obwohl dann genau jene Ausflüge auf dem Schiff noch sehr aktiv beworben werden, weil noch Plätze frei sind, da offenbar zu wenig gebucht wurde...? Auch sonst ist es mühselig, sich immer wieder einloggen zu müssen, alles selber machen zu müssen, auch wenn man als Goldmember direkt bei Cunard bucht, und noch blöder wird's, wenn mehr als 2 Personen resp. mehr als 2 Kabinen betroffen sind. Dann geht alles nur mit einzelnen Logins, bis hin dazu, dass man dann zwei Ausflugsplätze hat und den Dritten dazu nicht mehr...

We enjoy the whole experience
This was not the standard one would expect
The normally high standard was missing on this cruise. From the moment in our stateroom we could see the fact that we were not welcome. On the floor were tablets left by the previous occupant. In the dining room the examples of lack of training were even more obvious. At the moment I would not recommend this ship to anyone despite having enjoyed being on board before. STANDARDS HAVE SLIPPED.
Meine erste Kreuzfahrt. Die Queen Mary 2 ist ein schönes Schiff mit beeindruckenden Ansichten. Meine Balkonkabine war schön, das Bett gut auch die Anzahl der Kissen aht ausgereich :-) die Naßzelle hat dagegen abgestunken. Witzig dort der Flaschenöffner und der Aschenbecher. Das Essen im Büffetrestaurant wenig bis gar nicht gewürzt im Britania echt gut. Ich würde empfehlen dort zu essen. Auch zum Tanzen gibt es mehrere Möglichkeiten mit Live Musik. Echt klasse. Die Cocktails in der Bar Deck 12 ungenießbar. Einfach nur stark. Ich habe etwas verloren was leider nicht mehr aufgetaucht ist. Sehr schade. War nichts was jemand anderes ohne die zweite Hälfte nutzen könnte. Leider nicht auffindbar oder in den Tiefen des Schiffes verschollen. Die Zeit verging wie im Flug an jeder Ecke kann man was sehen oder machen.
It was my first ever cruise , was totally blown away by everything really can't wait to save up and go on board cunard again , totally hooked and feel like any other cruise line wouldn't be as superb as cunard .

Overall we enjoyed our holiday. The entertainment was good on an evening and the bars and lounges were goog through the day. I was disapointed with the dinner offerings as things seem to have been reduced since our last cruise with Cunard. My room maid seemed under pressure which I have not experienced before.

An enjoyable cruise late autumn in the Mediterranean
The ship its decor and facilities are top notch. The entertainment is good with plenty going on all over the ship. Food in buffet areas good and plentiful however the restaurant meals were small portions with not enough vegetables and at times a little fancy in content. The down side was the price of drinks were expensive especially when they add a service charge to every drink order on board including speciality coffee and teas. Tours were on the whole disappointing and we felt we had enjoyed the time ashore more when we made our own arrangements. It would be helpful if prior information was provided as to how near a town/resort is to a port prior to booking tours. Overall a really good trip in the Mediterranean in late autumn.
Would never go on this ship again because the food was very badly cooked. Meat was just like eating rubber. Vegetables consisted of 2 sticks of carrot and 2 of asparagus which could not be cut with a knife. Soups had far too much salt and could not be consumed at all. The International cheese trolley consisted of the last remains of an old stilton cheese and brie was cut into small hard bits. I lost 2 lbs in weight in 2 weeks! The air conditioning system stank at all times of curry both in the stateroom and corridors. It was dreadful. The stewards in the Princess Grill were absolutely wonderful. Overall there is a tremendous Team Spirit of all staff of which the Captain should be very proud.
Whilst the price of the cruise was very competitive, all the extras made for an overall quite expensive holiday, the highlight being the price of some very ordinary wines.
