Diane Simpson
Diane Simpson - Personality Profiler

Diane Simpson FRSA is a Personality Profiler, Writer and Lecturer. A member of Mensa, she has written three books and appeared on more than two hundred TV and radio programmes. Diane says, "My work is all about assessing, analysing and interpreting patterns of behaviour."

A lively and humorous speaker, Diane's experience is wide ranging and includes high profile police investigations, membership of the Chartered Institute of Bankers exclusive Speaker Panel and contributing to Loughborough University’ high profile 'Security Management' Diploma course. 

A success of which Diane is particularly proud was being chosen as main speaker at the prestigious Guernsey Institute of Bankers Dinner (the largest annual event held on the Island) ...which was the first time ever for this predominantly male occasion to be addressed by a woman.

Rick Reynolds
Rick Reynolds - Aviator & Concorde Expert

Hear about the legendary Concorde from one of the fleet's former pilots, Rick Reynolds. Rick's fun and lively talks convey the thrill of flying the world's most famous supersonic aircraft, and cover the events which culminated in the final grounding of Concorde.

Rick has flown a BAC 1-11 jet, a Boeing 757, and the Boeing 767 long-haul. In Nov 1996 he was thrilled to hear his bid to fly Concorde had been successful and he flew supersonic until the fleet was retired in 2000. Rick was promoted to Captain on the Boeing 757 / 767 which he continued to pilot both short- and long-haul until his early retirement in 2010.

Keith Muras
Keith Muras - Espionage & Crime

In a distinguished British Diplomatic Service career spanning 23 years, Keith focused on the security and intelligence dimensions of international issues.

On joining the Service in 1976, and after a period of intensive training, Keith was posted to Johannesburg, South Africa, at the heights of apartheid government. Over the ensuing years, with periodic returns to work in the United Kingdom, Keith's Service career then saw him living and working in many parts of the world. For three years, in the early 1980s, he was in Moscow, Russia, experiencing the challenges of the depths of the Cold War. Then to Kingston, Jamaica, with responsibilities spanning an arc through the Western Caribbean to Central America. And also to Harare, Zimbabwe, and to Kampala, Uganda.

When working from a United Kingdom base Keith travelled extensively in support of foreign policy objectives. Including assisting and supporting international and national efforts to combat global crime, such as drug trafficking and illicit financial activities, and to counter the threat from domestic and international terrorism.

Historian, John Burton
John Burton - Historian

John Burton is a professor of history at DePaul University in Chicago where he teaches courses on Colonial America, the Transatlantic world, and the Caribbean.

Originally from Minnesota in the US, John completed his undergraduate degree in history at St. Olaf College. His Ph.D. in history is from the College of William and Mary in Virginia, where he also worked in the Department of Archaeological Research. His research interests focus on the colonial transatlantic world, including the settlement of New England and the Caribbean.
