In the case that you need to cancel your cruise vacation, you may be charged a fee based Cunard’s standard cancelation policy. The amount will depend on the length of your itinerary and how far in advance of your departure date that you cancel. Use the details below to determine your refund. 

 

If you’ve already purchased CunardCare®, your refunds for covered cancelation reasons will continue to be governed by CunardCare. Please review the plan coverage, conditions and exclusions for full details. We highly recommend that guests purchase CunardCare† – not only does it provide some peace of mind for unexpected cancelations, it also offers partial reimbursements for trip delays or interruptions, lost or damaged baggage and medical coverage.

Payments and deposits

 

Your deposit will be calculated based on the Voyage Charges, which includes the Required Voyage Fees and Expenses.

 

Voyages up to 30 nights: A deposit of 25% of the Voyage Charges must be received within the time frames shown below. A deposit is required for all guests (including third and fourth berths) traveling on a voyage. 

Voyages 31 nights or longer:  A deposit of 20% of the Voyage Charges must be received within the time frames shown below. A deposit is required for all guests (including third and fourth berths) traveling on a voyage.

 

Final payment: Cunard must receive the balance of the Voyage Charges according to the schedule below.

Refund schedules and final payment due date

For booked guests, please review your booking confirmation email which contains the cancelation schedule and final payment terms that apply to you. For full details and booking conditions, please also refer to the passage contract.

 

Since a cancelation likely means a diminished opportunity to sell space on other cruises/cruisetours, the cancelation fees in the schedules below apply regardless of whether Your space is resold. You hereby agree that losses sustained by us in the event of Your cancelation would be very difficult or impossible to quantify, and that the fees set forth in our cancelation policy represent a fair and reasonable assessment as liquidated damages. The amount of cancelation fee varies based on length of sailing for cruise/cruisetour and timing of cancelation for cruise/cruisetour, as illustrated in the schedules below.

"Full fare" does not include Government taxes and fees (as defined in the Passage Contract), which are not subject to any cancelation fee.

Final payment is due at 150 days prior to sailing on voyages 31 days or more.

For those guests booking a reduced deposit promotion, the initial cancelation fee of “deposit amount” will not exceed the deposit required/paid at the time of the booking. 

 

Hotel packages will be subject to cancelation fee of 50% of the total cost of the hotel package between 90 to 61 days prior to the first day of booked hotel stay and 100% of the total cost of the hotel package between 60 days and the first day of the booked hotel stay. Land tour packages will be assessed a cancelation fee of 100% of the total cost of the land tour package when canceling at 90 days or less to the first day of the land tour. Transfers are not assessed a cancelation fee regardless of cancelation date. CunardCare is non-refundable.

 

Cancelation policy exception(s):

 

For certain promotional fares, the deposit is non-refundable. Please review the terms and conditions of all fares before booking. Items subject to cancelation fees include, but are not limited to, cruise fare and hotel packages.

 

A. If You have purchased a specially priced promotion where the deposit is 100% non-refundable from the point of payment, You are not entitled to any refund, payment, compensation or credit whatsoever of Your deposit under any circumstance if you cancel Your booking.

 

B. If You have purchased a specially priced promotion that is 100% non-refundable from the point of payment, You are not entitled to any refund, payment, compensation or credit whatsoever of Your Cruise or Cruisetour fare if You cancel Your booking.
