Are flights included in my cruise fare?

Absolutely. You can book your own flights separately through an airline of your choice, extend your stay before or after your cruise with <a title="Hotels" href="https://www.cunard.com/en-gb/the-cunard-experience/cruise-and-stay/hotels">hotels</a>, or even book another cruise. However, booking flights through Cunard includes transfers and operational pre or post hotel accommodation where applicable, which you will not get if you book your flights separately.

Can I make my own flight arrangements?

If you booked your flight through us, you can retrieve your luggage after your flight and proceed through customs. Once you have cleared customs, you will be met by a Cunard representative who will ensure that your luggage is delivered directly to your stateroom on board.
If you have not booked flights via Cunard, you will need to make your own arrangements for transporting your luggage to the ship.

How do I arrange my luggage on a fly-cruise?

Because flights are often scheduled at shorter notice than cruises are, your flight information will be confirmed close to your departure date (anywhere between three and 12 months before departure, depending on the airline and route). You will receive an email confirming details of your flights; if you booked via a travel agent, this will come via your booking agent.
Basic information, such as flight number and times, will also be shown in <a title="Flights in My Cunard" href="https://my.cunard.com/en-gb/mycruise/FlightsLanding">My Cunard</a> for you to view once they are confirmed. If you need to change anything about your flight, and you booked it with us, please call us at least seven days prior to departure. Any changes may result in additional costs due to availability and you will receive a new confirmation email with updated information.

How do I find my flight information for my fly-cruise holiday?

For flights booked through Cunard, and where possible, your ship will wait for you so you are able to board.&nbsp;Our local Cunard representatives will monitor your flight's scheduled arrival and meet you at the airport at your updated arrival time.&nbsp;
If your flight to join the ship is being delayed extensively, please notify Cunard on 0344 338 8641. In&nbsp;the event a flight booked through Cunard has a significant delay or is cancelled, Cunard will make alternative arrangements so you can meet your ship as quickly as possible in another port, at no additional cost (our Transatlantic Crossings are an exception to this).
If your flight is not booked with Cunard, the ship will not necessarily wait, and you may have to make alternative arrangements.

If you're hoping to spend time relaxing on some of the Mediterranean's sandy beaches, it's best to avoid travel during November to March when temperatures are cooler and days can be fresh and rainy.

What is the weather like in the Mediterranean?

A variety of languages are spoken in the Mediterranean. In Spain, where Spanish is the official language, you'll also find regional languages including Catalan, Galician, Basque and Occitan. Spanish is also spoken in Gibraltar, even though the official language of Gibraltar is English. Similarly, in Malta both Maltese and English are spoken.
In France the native language is French, in Italy it's Italian, in Greece it's Greek and in Croatia it's Croatian. French is also the official language of Monaco but you'll encounter Italian spoken by much of the population here too.

Depending on the time of year, you'll need cool clothes and comfortable shoes for exploring the exciting ports along your journey. A sunhat and sunscreen are a must in the summer months, and would be wise in the autumn too, as the sun can still be strong in September and October. UK and EU citizens, residents of Schengen countries, plus residents of the US, Australia, Canada, Israel, Japan and New Zealand don't currently require a visa to travel to the Mediterranean, provided the duration of stay is less than 90 days.
