Henry Blofeld is an English sports journalist whose rich, plummy tones are known and loved worldwide thanks to his extensive cricket commentary career.

As a broadcaster, Henry was a regular member of the prestigious Test Match Special cricket commentary team between 1972 and 1991. Between 1991 and 1994 he worked for Sky Television before returning to the BBC in 1994. He retired from Test Match Special in September 2017.

Since 1962, he has been a newspaper journalist and written for publications including The Guardian, The Observer, The Daily Mirror, The Daily Telegraph, The Independent, and The Express. He is a prolific writer, with published cricketing books including Cricket and All That, his autobiography A Thirst For LifeCricket in Three MoodsThe Packer AffairSqueezing The OrangeCricket’s Greatest Entertainers and Cricket and All That. His latest book, Over & Out was released in October 2017.
