Yes, the following height and weight restrictions apply to our kennels:
Upper Kennels&nbsp;– appropriate for pets of 25 lbs or less
Lower Kennels&nbsp;– appropriate for pets of 25.1 lbs or more
Maximum pet length (measuring from the tip of the nose to the base of tail) is 34 inches per kennel. Two kennels may be opened up to accommodate pets of up to 59 inches (both kennels will be charged individually).
Maximum pet height for all kennels is 27 inches. Measurement is from the top of the pet’s shoulder to the floor.

Are your kennels subject to height or weight restrictions?

You will need to check with your airline what their policy is on pets.

Can I travel with my pet if my cruise includes a flight?

We can supply food for your pet from an approved list of UK-based pet food suppliers, included in the price you pay for your kennel booking. If no brand on our list is suitable, we are happy for you to bring your own pet food on board.

Do I have to bring food on board for my pet?

Owing to the size of our kennels, we can only accommodate dogs that are 27 inches or less in height, and 34 inches or less in length in each kennel. If your pet exceeds 34 inches in length then you will need to book two lower kennels.
For this reason, we are unable to accommodate the following breeds of dog:&nbsp;

<li>Weimaraner&nbsp;</li>
<li>Bull Mastiff&nbsp;</li>
<li>Malamute</li>
</ul>
In addition, dogs prohibited by the UK Pet Travel Scheme are not permitted on board. These breeds currently include:&nbsp;

<li>Pit Bull Terrier</li>
<li>Japanese Tosa</li>
<li>Dogo Argentino&nbsp;</li>
<li>Fila Braziliero</li>
<li>Any mix of breed which includes these breeds</li>

Do you accept all breeds of dog?

Yes, cats and dogs sailing on our ships will require a pet passport to travel. Don’t worry, we’ll be in touch with all the necessary paperwork and requirements for your voyage, at least five months ahead of sailing. An AHC Health Certificate in lieu of a passport is also accepted.

Does my pet need a passport to travel?

You can book a kennel by calling our&nbsp;<a href="https://www.cunard.com/en-gb/contact-us">Customer Contact Centre</a>&nbsp;or by emailing&nbsp;<a href="mailto:kennels@cunard.com">kennels@cunard.com</a>&nbsp;Please note, kennels can only be booked on selected Transatlantic Crossings, and you will need to have a valid cruise booking in order to reserve a kennel space for your pet.&nbsp;

What do I need to do if I wish to travel with an assistance dog or service animal?

Ahead of sailing we’ll ask you to select your pet’s choice of food from a list of pet food brands we offer on board. You can also order items such as chicken, rice, broth, and vegetables, on request once on board. Please feel free to also bring treats for your pets to enjoy, should you wish.

Queen Mary 2 offers 12 upper and 12 lower kennels. Kennel sizes are as follows:
