Guests aboard Cunard's Queen Anne witness the 2026 total solar eclipse from north-west Spain

Looking ahead to the 2027 total solar eclipse

 

Looking ahead, two Cunard ships will be positioned in prime viewing locations for the next total solar eclipse on 2 August 2027. Queen Victoria will be in Tangier, Morocco, during her 14-night voyage to Portugal, Spain and Morocco, while Queen Elizabeth will be sailing from Valletta, Malta, to Split, Croatia, during her 14-night Mediterranean and Adriatic voyage.

Guests can also seek out the Northern Lights on voyages to Northern Norway, with itineraries calling at destinations including Tromsø, Narvik and Honningsvåg. Selected sailings feature astronomy and exploration specialists as part of Cunard's acclaimed Insights enrichment programme, providing expert commentary and discussions on the science behind these extraordinary natural wonders.

 

In addition, guests sailing on selected voyages on 28 August 2026 will have the opportunity to witness a partial lunar eclipse from sea.
