Make sure you catch the high tide! Twice a day, it sends water churning up the St. John River to create the spectacular reversing falls in a narrow gorge. On a jet boat ride, you could see it up close! Peruse Canada’s oldest continuing museum, the New Brunswick Museum, with its natural history displays, local artworks and innovative modern tidal feature.

An impressive old building with original wrought iron gates, the oldest market in North America was built in 1876 and is a full city block in length. You can buy local crafts, souvenirs and delicious fresh, local food.
