Trace the rich 8,000-year history of the North Shore of the St. Lawrence River at the Musée Régional de la Côtae-Nord, in a permanent exhibition called Land of Discovery: The Great Journey. You’ll visit the Vieux-Poste too, a replica of the first European establishment here. British and French settlers traded fur with Innu hunters, and later exported fur to Europe, along with salmon and seal oil. You can glimpse into the daily life of the postmaster, woodsmen and Innu hunters. To round off your tour, you’ll drive towards the coastline to enjoy a brief photo stop at one of the local beaches, before returning to the pier.
