Visit the National Park of La Caldera de Taburiente, in the center of La Palma. Sit back and relax as your scenic drive takes you to the small whitewashed church of Santuario Virgen de Las Nieves. Inside, you’ll find the island’s most sacred icon, the Virgin Mary of the Snows. Then it’s on to La Caldera de Taburiente, a five-mile wide volcanic crater that gave the park its name. Sample some well-earned local refreshments at Finca La Principal, a traditional 17th century farm set in beautiful gardens, before heading back, with a photo stop at the viewpoint Mirador de la Concepcion en route.
