A guided walk will take you past the shaded Plaza de Azcarraga with its lovely stone fountain and graceful buildings. Another highlight is the beautiful Town Hall, located within the large Maria Pita Square dotted with many open-air cafés and restaurants.  View the glass enclosed balconies of the Avenida de la Marina, built to protect against strong winds. Stroll in the peaceful San Carlos Gardens and see the tomb of Sir John Moore.

The Regional Military Museum occupies part of what was the plot of the former San Francisco Convent and displays a great collection of more than 1,600 military objects from the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries.  Discover the different rooms devoted to military arts and customs during a guided visit.

Afterwards, capture on camera Europe’s oldest working lighthouse, the Tower of Hercules, built by the Romans and rebuilt in the 18th century.

Complete your tour with an array of traditional Spanish snacks and a glass of wine, at a local restaurant, offering stunning panoramic views over the city and Atlantic Ocean.
