Embark on a panoramic drive of Hamburg, during which you’ll see some of the city’s most important sites including Germany’s oldest stock exchange and St Nicolai Church.
Pause to capture photographs of the impressive Neo Renaissance Rathaus which is today the seat of the Government of Hamburg. Afterwards, continue driving through Hamburg’s most famous street, the Reeperbahn, today one of the world’s largest red-light districts and home to yet another architectural marvel, the Dancing Towers.
Enjoy a panoramic drive passing St Michael’s Church and the Elbphilharmonie, Hamburg’s spectacular Concert Hall.
The highlight of your tour will be a visit to Miniature Wonderland, the world’s largest model railway collection and a true work of art. The fully digitally controlled HO scale (1:87) layout has the latest equipment to control the trains and lights. Expanding on a daily basis, you’ll find around 1,000 engines hauling over 15,000 different carriages controlled by nearly 60 computers, on more than 15,000 metres of track. Since its opening in 2000, Miniature Wonderland has become a ‘must see’ for locals and visitors to the city; you can witness how a whole day is simulated in 15 minutes – from dawn to dusk. Marveling at the detailed layout and master engineering, it isn’t difficult to understand why the adults, rather than children, don’t want to leave the exhibition!
