Setting off from the port, a short drive will take you to your first venue, a local restaurant that offers a delicious helping of Syrian chickpea falafel and cheese manakish, dough topped with thyme and cheese that resembles a miniature pizza. Next, you�ll walk to a local Iraqi restaurant to sample traditional lentil soup. This is often eaten after breaking the fast during Ramadan and is served with fresh sour lemon juice and crunchy bread flakes.Continue on foot to your next venue to sample a typical Arabic grill plate, accompanied by Arabic salad and hot Arabic khubz bread. You can also try maskouf, a grilled fish that originates from the sweet water rivers of Iraq, and the Yemeni dish Mandhi, slowly cooked chicken served over aromatic rice.To round off your tour, you�ll walk to a local pastry shop to sample booza ice cream, prepared with pistachios and rose water, and tasty baklava.
