Then you’ll enter the Punic World, at The Interpretation Centre of the Punic Wall. You’ll see the remains of Cartagena’s Punic Wall, watch an informative audio-visual presentation featuring the Punic Wars, and visit the macabre 16th-century crypt to see the haunting frescoes of ‘Death, the Great Leveller’ dancing on the papal crown.

You’ll also visit the town’s spectacular Roman remains at the Decumano and El Molinete Hill This large, open-air archaeological park features a main Roman thoroughfare, lined with thermal baths and shops. But the gem in the crown is the impressive Roman Theatre. This amazing archaeological find, built in 1BC and able to hold 6,000 spectators, demonstrates just how important Cartagena was in Old Spain.
