Head to Sheffield, the town of murals, where huge, colourful murals depicting the early history of the area are painted throughout the town on every available blank wall. The plentiful murals are unique to the region and feature Cradle Mountain pioneer Gustav Weindorfer, Tasmanian Tigers, and pictorial representations of characters and stories of the past.
Next, visit Tasmania’s Trowunna Wildlife Park to see native wildlife, including the hand-fed Tasmanian Devils, wallabies, echidnas, kookaburras, snakes, reptiles and potoroos. The sanctuary houses the world's largest heritage population of endangered Tasmanian Devils and its primary goal is wildlife conservation, education and rehabilitation. Your dedicated guide will take you on a fascinating tour to discover the residents of the park, and during your visit a light picnic luncheon will also be offered.
Drive through the pretty countryside, pausing for a scenic photograph on your way back to the ship.
