Your scenic drive to Tabanan, will stop at the Royal Temple, Taman Ayun. The temple was constructed in the 17th century and is surrounded by ponds and features beautiful Balinese architecture.Tabanan is a district in the west of Bali which is famous for the huge production of rice. Drive onto Bantas Village, home to the SOS Children�s Village. Inaugurated in 1991, the village consists of 12 family houses, each being home to around 8 children. In charge of each house is a foster Mother who takes care of the children and is responsible for their education, health and psycho-social support until they become fully independent adults.Spend an hour at the village meeting the residents and co-ordinators and learning of their lives and stories.
