The most popular of the caves is Fontein Cave, which boasts native Arawak drawings on the ceilings, providing a real sense of the islands history and its former inhabitants. After a visit of Fontein Cave, youll then visit Guadirikiri Cave, famous for its 2 chambers, illuminated by bright sunlight which streams through the holes in the roof of the cave. Extending around 100 feet, the darker areas of the cave provide the perfect resting place for nocturnal bats.Continue to Casibari Rock Formation, via Frenchmans Pass. Legend has it that French pirates who attempted to invade Aruba in the early 17th century were confronted by Indians in this narrow passage, which led to the name Frenchmans Pass. Upon arrival at Casibari Rock Formation youll have the opportunity to wander amongst the diorite boulders to see local flora and fauna.
