This WSET (Wine & Spirit Education Trust) Level 2 Award in Wines and Spirits is a beginner-to-intermediate-level qualification for enthusiasts who are seeking a core understanding of wine and spirits. You will explore the major grape varieties and important wine regions in which they are grown, and learn about the styles of wines produced from these grapes, as well as key qualifications and labeling terminology. You will also be provided with a basic overview of the key categories of spirits and liqueurs.

Course Overview:

  • 10-day course including a revision day and multiple-choice examination.
  • The length of each module is approximately 120 minutes, depending on the questions.
  • The price includes all of the study materials provided, examination fees, certificates, a champagne reception, and a four-course lunch, with matching wines, in The Verandah restaurant on the last day of the course.
  • During the course, you will have the opportunity to taste up to 45 wines and 4 spirits.
  • You will also be provided with a WSET study guide for you to make notes on and take home.
  • Examination on the last day with 50 multiple choice questions, with a 60-minute limit. A grade of 55% is required to pass.
  • Certification – all guests who pass will be issued a certificate suitable for framing and a lapel pin.
