Explore the charming fishing village of Bayona on a guided stroll through the streets of the old quarter, and sample the delicious local tapas.

Sit back and soak up the striking landscapes on your scenic ride to Bayona. En route, you’ll stop at La Guía Hill, one of Vigo’s highest points, from where you’ll get exceptional panoramic views across the city and bay, with your ship in port.

The news of Columbus’ discovery of the New World was first heard in Bayona when his returning ship, the Pinta, arrived in 1493. When you arrive in Bayona, at the Parador Conde de Gondomar, you can enjoy the delicious, local Spanish tapas accompanied by tea, coffee or soft drinks, in the scenic surroundings.

Afterwards, you’ll visit the Old Quarter, where you can stroll along the quaint, cobbled streets of Old Bayona, past the cloistered Convent of the Dominicas, the Misericordia Chapel and the 18th-century Casa Lorenzo Correa, now the town hall.

You’ll have some free time to browse the local boutiques before returning to Vigo via the coastal road.
