Taipei On Your Own
USDTBC per person
Taipei has a wealth of attractions to choose from, whether you wish to discover hidden temples, indulge in some serious shopping or relax in one of the city’s many teahouses.
Your drop off point is Taipei 101 Tower, one of the tallest buildings in the world, standing at 509 meters high with 101 storeys. You may choose to travel up to the 89th floor of the Tower for some wonderful views of the city or, if you have no head for heights, visit the lower floors of the Tower, home to a six-storey shopping mall and excellent food court.
Probably the area’s biggest draw is the recently renovated National Palace Museum, which houses the largest collection of Chinese art treasures anywhere in the world, and is one of the country’s ‘must sees’.
Alternatively explore the streets of the Old Town and enjoy the weather-worn façades, the vestiges of Japanese rule, the grand temples, and the wealth of restaurants and stylish shops.
Whatever you choose to do, this option allows you to create your own itinerary and tailor your own day ashore.
