Enjoy a panoramic tour of Gothenburg, Sweden’s 2nd largest city. Founded in 1621 by the King Gustav II Adolf, who grew tired of the Danish raids and wanted a strong fortress in the west. The town soon became an important trade and maritime city, and is still today an important harbour.
Your tour begins with a drive up to the Masthuggs Church, where you’ll be treated to a wonderful view of Gothenburg and the port. After a visit inside the church, continue to the heart of the city, where you’ll pass Götaplatsen with the famous Poseidon Fountain, by Carl Milles. You’ll also pass the Museum of Fine Arts, the Concert Hall and the Municipal Theatre.Continue driving along Avenyn, the main street and the Grand Boulevard of Gothenburg home to number of restaurants, bars and shops. You’ll pass Gustav Adolf’s Square, the City Hall, the Court House and the Stock Exchange, as well as the famous Fish Market; ‘Feskekyrkan’
