As you arrive in Tokyo, you’ll enjoy a drive through the modern Bayside and Ginza areas. Your panoramic tour of the city will take you past many of Tokyo’s iconic buildings such as the National Diet Building and the Imperial Palace Plaza.

A delicious buffet luncheon will be served at a leading restaurant before you head off to one of the city’s newest icons, the Tokyo Skytree.

Opened to the public in 2012, the 2080 foot high Tokyo Skytree is the world’s tallest free-standing broadcasting tower. Ride the elevator to the spectacular observation deck, located 1148 feet in the air, where you will be greeted with spectacular views of the city. Marvel at the modern buildings on show such as the Tokyo Tower and an array of skyscrapers. On a sunny day, you might even be lucky enough to see Mount Fuji on the horizon.

Browse the shops at the nearby ‘Tokyo Solomachi’, before reboarding your coach for the short drive to Asakusa, Tokyo’s Ancient Town. Visit the Sensoji Temple, founded in the 7th century and recognised as the oldest extant temple in Tokyo. Enter through the Nitenmon Gate that displays a huge red paper lantern (weather permitting) and shop for traditional souvenirs and snacks in the Nakamise shopping street.
