A leisurely drive of approximately 1½ hours will take you from the pier along one of Australia’s most scenic coastal routes up to Mossman and Port Douglas.

Nestled in the World Heritage Listed Daintree Rainforest, Mossman Gorge contains one of the oldest, continuously surviving rainforests in the world. The Mossman Gorge Centre is a new indigenous eco tourism development and is the gateway to Mossman Gorge. Upon arrival at the visitor centre, you will be transferred to the rainforest paths to enjoy a guided walk with a local guide through the lush tropical rainforest. This beautiful area contains cascading waterfalls, towering mountains and colourful flora and fauna. Witness a traditional smoking ceremony and hear stories of the Kuku Yalanji culture and traditions with an experienced Indigenous site guide. During your walk, there will also be time for you to pause for photos at the edge of the rockpools.

After your visit to Mossman Gorge, a short drive will take you to the attractive town of Port Douglas. You’ll have approximately one hour of free time to explore the shops and purchase lunch in one of the many local restaurants or cafés.
