Batu Caves and School of Hard Knocks
USD69 per person
Set in a huge limestone hill, which is said to be over 400 million years old, the Batu Caves are a natural wonder. There are three main caves and several smaller ones, one of which; the Temple Cave, boasts an ornate Hindu Shrine.
The 272 steps leading to the Temple Cave may be a challenge to some, but the spectacular scene awaiting you inside the Caves makes the climb worth it.
Afterwards, visit the Royal Selangor Visitor Centre, where you will be taken back over a hundred years to the founding of what is today, the world’s largest pewter manufacturer.
During your visit, you will learn how pewter is crafted at the Royal Selangor Factory before joining the 'School of Hard Knocks'. At this entertaining pewtersmithing workshop, you’ll be taught how to create your own pewter dish using traditional tools and methods. The finished product is then yours to take home as a souvenir of your memorable tour.
