2023 marks 100 years since RMS Laconia completed Cunard’s first World Voyage and to celebrate we’re embarking on a season of global adventures inspired by this pioneering feat in ocean travel.

Southampton to Dubai.
Tracing a path through Portugal, Greece, Egypt and Oman, to reach the UAE, spend time in some of the world’s oldest and youngest cities. Safaga is your gateway to Egypt’s ancient city of Thebes, where the tombs of Kings and Queens await exploration, while Salalah’s Al-Baleed Archaeological Park expands on the city’s spice trade legacy. Abu Dhabi and Dubai reveal metropolises sprung from the desert and mosques carved from marble.

Dubai to Singapore.
Explore UNESCO World Heritage Sites including Bahla Fort in Oman, before decamping to Sri Lanka. The adventures continue in Penang, where the City of George Town is among the sights to savour. From South Africa your first stop will be Walvis Bay in Namibia, where dolphins, seals and whales can be seen in the Atlantic swells. Combining breathtaking scenes of forested mountains, waterfalls and sapphire blue lakes, with exploration ashore in Nordic towns, a Norwegian Fjords cruise offers the perfect balance of nature, discovery and adventure. Canada and New England.

The Caribbean.
With year round hot weather and white sandy beaches, the Caribbean is the perfect antidote to city life. Explore Roseau’s Old Market in Dominica or take an aerial team ride through rainforest treetops in St Lucia. The subterranean chambers of Harrison’s Cave await in Barbados, while Dominica’s UNESCO-listed Mornes Trois Pitons National Park is the gateway to bubbling mud pools, hot springs and the island’s famous boiling lake.

Western Mediterranean.

Southampton to San Francisco.
Guests travelling on this leg of Queen Victoria’s Centenary World Voyage will enjoy an overnight port call in New York - the final port on RMS Laconia’s 1923 World Voyage – before sailing to Sint Maarten, Aruba and Mexico, en route to San Francisco. Tropical palms and white sands beckon you to relax in Oranjestad (Aruba), Santa Cruz (Huatulco) and Cabo San Lucas, before finally arriving in San Francisco.

San Francisco to Sydney.
This voyage balances harbour cities with unspoilt coastlines and tropical islands. Your first stop is to Hilo in Hawaii, home to lava rock pools and waterfalls. Honolulu’s white sands offer your next taste of America’s 50th state, before the South Pacific islands beckon. Auckland’s Domain Wintergardens and the Bay of Islands welcome you, before Sydney’s opera house from deck provides one final iconic moment.

Dubai to Southampton.
This voyage from the UAE to England offers UNESCO World Heritage sites and bucket list travel experiences. Step inside the tombs of Egyptian Kings and Queens in Thebes, and wind your way through the Al Siq Canyon to the temples of Petra from Aqaba. Arriving in Europe, Naples is your gateway to Pompeii, the city engulfed by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 CE, while Lisbon introduces the villas and architecture of Sintra’s palaces.

Northern Europe.
In Estonia’s capital Tallinn, you’ll encounter a magically preserved old town at the heart of the city, filled with enchanting shops, historic buildings and excellent restaurants. Helsinki reveals a beautiful green city, at the heart of which lies the Temppeliaukio church, excavated directly into the rocks, while Copenhagen introduces wood fired hot tubs and the ever-popular National Museum of Denmark.

The British Isles.
Watch the fisherman return with their trawl from the restaurants and bars of Kirkwall’s harbour, or take a tour of the Orkney distillery to sample the island’s award-winning gin at its source. The discovery continues in Stornoway, where a walk around Lews Castle Grounds unveils scenes of emerald vegetation and piercing blue sea, while Edinburgh (tours from New Haven) provides a gateway to the city’s ancient castle, the Royal Mile and Arthur’s Seat.

Atlantic Coast and Iberia.
On the Spanish coast, Cadiz charms with its old town filled with watchtowers, while the Portuguese city of Lisbon is your gateway to the UNESCO-listed palaces of Sintra.
