Covid-19 – Flexible booking terms.

Correct as of: 20 September 2021.

In this uncertain environment, we understand that you may appreciate some added flexibility.

Prior to the balance due date on your booking, you can now:

  • Transfer your booking to any Cunard voyage currently on sale (and not just to those within the next 12 months).
  • Transfer your booking to a voyage of higher or lower value (and not just of a higher value, as is usually the case).
  • Transfer your booking an unlimited number of times (and not just once).
  • Transfer your bookings free of charge, as we will waive the current £100 administration charge for each transfer made.

This policy modifies the transfer policy in our Booking Conditions. This policy may be changed or withdrawn at any time without notice.

Please note that these Flexible Booking Terms are only applicable to those guests residing and booking in the UK, Europe, Middle East and Africa.

For full FCC terms and conditions, please see below.

Future Cruise Credit (FCC) terms and conditions.

In light of the Covid-19 pandemic, many guests have accepted Future Cruise Credits 'FCCs' in relation to cancelled voyages.

FCCs issued after 1 July 2021 can be used at any time as they have no expiry date and can be used against any voyage that is on sale at the time of booking.

Please note that these new FCCs will not be covered by ABTA's scheme of financial protection, although any booking you make using the FCC will be protected up to the amount of the refund due on your original booking.

FCCs can be used on all fare types of Cunard holiday, subject to availability at the time of booking. Where the cost of the new holiday is more than the FCC, guests can simply pay the difference. Guests may use their FCC to upgrade their existing booking. Should guests wish to do this they should contact their travel agent or us, if they have booked directly with Cunard. All new bookings using FCCs will be subject to Cunard Booking Conditions, including our standard cancellation terms. Once an FCC has been applied to a new booking, in the event of a cancellation of a voyage by the guest, any refund will be given in FCC. If a cancellation of the whole voyage is necessary due to Covid-19, guests who had used their FCC for that voyage will be offered the same options as other guests are offered at that time in respect of the original monies paid.

If you had made this booking using your FCC from a previously cancelled voyage, you will receive the same value of that FCC back. If the value of your FCC payment was less than the value of the standard deposit, you will receive the relevant FCC amount back and 125% of the cash element of the deposit paid, as an FCC. Any additional monies paid will be returned as an FCC.

FCCs used from a previous cancellation (prior to 30 June 2021) remain protected by ABTA or ATOL (up to the value of the original monies paid), so in the unlikely event of Cunard insolvency, your money will be refunded under those financial protection arrangements. Please continue to retain all booking documentation, receipts, confirmation, invoice documents, ATOL Certificate (for fly-cruises) and your proof of payment, such as credit card statements.
