    John Bridcut - Film Producer & Author

    John Bridcut MVO is an award-winning British film-maker and author. Over the past twenty years he has made more than forty documentaries for British television, on political subjects, current affairs, contemporary history and the arts.

    John's BBC One film A Jubilee Tribute to The Queen by The Prince of Wales, featuring previously unseen footage, was watched by 10 million people in the UK. It was also seen in the USA - where it was entitled Royal Memories: Prince Charles' Tribute to The Queen - as well as in dozens of countries around the world. John was again granted special access to the complete collection of Her Majesty's personal ciné films, for BBC One's 2016 documentary film Elizabeth at 90: A Family Tribute.

    John Bridcut is currently working on a film for the centenary of the composer Benjamin Britten, after writing two books about him: Britten’s Children and Essential Britten. He is also the author of the BBC Trust’s 2007 report on impartiality in broadcasting, From Seesaw to Wagon Wheel. In September last year, he became a member of the Royal Victorian Order, an award in the personal gift of The Queen.

    Lord Digby Jones
    Lord Digby Jones - International Businessman and Cross Bench Peer

    In addition to Digby's role as an active crossbencher in the House of Lords he serves as Chairman of Triumph Motorcycles Limited, Non-Executive Deputy Chairman of the Unipart Expert Practices (UEP) Division and Chairman of Grove Industries. He advises in a number of other paid and unpaid roles, fulfilling his vision of promoting socially inclusive wealth creation.

    Digby Jones was born into business. Some of his earliest memories are of life in a busy corner shop where he lived with his family. It was here he learnt the first rudiments of business – important values that were never to leave him.

    In 2005 he was knighted for his services to business, and in 2007 was appointed Minister of State for UK Trade & Investment. He also became a life peer taking the title, Digby, Lord Jones of Birmingham Kb. He did not join the party of government, but instead chose to concentrate on promoting British business across the world, travelling to 31 countries in 45 overseas visits.
