    This excursion will operate by coach and motor-cruiser. There are a few steps to negotiate to board the canal boat and ten steps to access the upper deck. The cruise lasts approximately one hour and is not exclusive to Cunard. The coach journey to the Gold Coast takes approximately 1½ hours each way. Luncheon is not included to allow maximum flexibility – there are many cafés and restaurants at Surfers Paradise. Before you book this excursion, you must refer to the ‘Beach / Water Related’ paragraph under the ‘Guide to Symbols’ in this brochure.     Step aboard a four wheel drive mini-van and experience the beauty of Tamborine Mountain.

    Spend a full day exploring the greener side of Australia, accompanied by expert local guides. As part of the journey will be on the rugged off-road hillside trails of Tamborine Mountain, you’ll get to explore parts which are only 4WD accessible!

    En-route, a traditional morning tea will be served at a quaint mountain venue. There will also be the option to browse a few of the shops along Gallery Walk, which are renowned for their unique crafts and gifts, before beginning a leisurely guided rainforest walk. During your nature walk, you’ll discover waterfalls cascading into mountain streams and thick green rainforests alive with native birds.

    After your invigorating walk, you’ll be taken to Spring Gully for a well-deserved traditional Aussie luncheon, served in a private setting. After luncheon, you can enjoy boomerang throwing demonstrations.

    Rejoining your 4WD, you’ll visit a local winery for a formal wine tasting of fine Australian wines, before heading back to the city.

This tour travels along bush tracks for about 90 minutes and navigates over rocky and uneven terrain; it is not suitable for those with injuries or conditions which may be affected by a bumpy ride. The guided walk is around 45 minutes over forest terrain. Please wear comfortable, enclosed, non-slip footwear. There is a slight incline to some paved walking areas and some steps to negotiate at each stop. In the event of adverse weather conditions, itinerary highlights are subject to change without notice.

    After a transfer to Brisbane's South Bank Precinct and an initial safety briefing and familiarisation, you’ll don your safety vest and helmet and set off on your Segway ride. From your departure point, you’ll travel alongside the Brisbane River, taking in the spectacular views of South Bank and Story Bridge. You’ll also head across Goodwill Bridge and take a ride around the City’s Botanical Gardens.

    Visit Steve Irwin's famous Australia Zoo to view an amazing live crocodile show and to see an unusual variety of wildlife.

    Your experience will begin with a visit to Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital. A brief tour of the facilities will provide a behind the scenes insight into the work of a dedicated rescue team who collect sick, injured and orphaned koalas and other native wildlife.

    Nearby to the hospital is Australia Zoo which was established by the late ‘Crocodile Hunter’, Steve Irwin and is still run by his enthusiastic family. It is one of Australia’s leading environmental organisations, committed to the preservation of Australian wildlife and their habitat.

    You will have around three hours to explore the many enclosures at your own leisure. Discover the large numbers of native animals including freshwater and saltwater crocodiles, kangaroos, tigers and wombats. You will have the chance to meet the cuddly koalas, view majestic birds of prey and feed kangaroos (food at your own expense).

    The Zoo’s latest addition is their totally wild Africa exhibit. The open-plains are home to giraffe, zebra and rhinos. You’ll have the opportunity to watch these fascinating animals from onboard the special Africa Safari Shuttle. There will also be daily animal presentations. The highlight is the live crocodile show, where the crocodiles launch a strike from the water’s edge in the purpose built ‘Crocoseum’. A truly unforgettable day out.

The tour is unguided therefore walking is at guests' own discretion. The terrain is mostly flat pavement and there is a trolley train which runs continuously around the zoo.     Just a short transfer from the pier will take you to the Southbank Parklands, where you’ll collect your bike and helmet and set off on a leisurely ride.

    Your two hour ride will follow the dedicated cycle paths alongside the beautiful Brisbane River, passing by the historic Kangaroo Point and continuing over the iconic Story Bridge. You’ll head to the charming suburb of New Farm, travelling down historic tree-lined streets and through New Farm Park. Gradually, you’ll make your way back along the waterfront near downtown, where some of Brisbane's finest riverfront restaurants are located. Pedal through the City’s Botanical Gardens, which boasts outdoor sculptures, along with an impressive collection of native and exotic plants, before returning to Southbank Parklands.

    Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary, founded in 1927, is the world's oldest and largest Koala Sanctuary and contains over 130 koalas. Set in beautiful, natural surroundings, the sanctuary is also home to many other species of native Australian wildlife including Kangaroos, Tasmanian Devils, Wombats, Echidnas, Kookaburras, Emus, Cassowarys, various species of Reptiles and a Platypus.

    You may wish to hold and have your photo taken cuddling a Koala (additional expense payable locally), or hand feed the kangaroos and wallabies that roam freely around the grounds. There are daily talks, shows and presentations given throughout the visit to teach you more about these unusual animals. There is also an on-site café where you may wish to purchase refreshments or luncheon.


    This excursion will operate by coach. The visit to the sanctuary is unguided therefore walking is at guests’ own discretion. The terrain consists of pavements, a slated wooden boardwalk and compacted gravel/turf. Guests with colds or flu are advised not to handle the koalas. Please check on arrival at the sanctuary for the times of the daily shows. Please remember local currency (AUD) or credit cards for purchases.

    Redlands Trail Walk & Sirromet Winery

    Departing the pier, you’ll head towards the Redland Bay region and to the Redlands IndigiScapes Centre. Here, you’ll embark on an interpretive guided walk, led by a local enthusiast. During your walk, you’ll uncover a wealth of knowledge about delicious ‘bush tucker’ flavours, the wild herb garden and flora such as the Lily Pilly plant. You’ll also have the opportunity to sample a cup of traditionally brewed tea or coffee and a sweet treat.

    Afterwards, you’ll drive to the renowned Sirromet Winery, situated in the picturesque suburb of Mount Cotton. This stunning property boasts natural beauty, with lagoons set in native bushland. Here, you’ll enjoy a wine tasting at the cellar door, and receive a complimentary bottle of wine to take home with you.

    With your knowledge of the Australian native bushland widened and your taste buds satisfied, you’ll return to the ship.

    This excursion will operate by coach and on foot. There are some steps, boardwalk and uneven terrain at the IndigiScapes Centre, therefore please wear flat, comfortable walking shoes. It is also recommended that guests wear lightweight clothing, bring a sunhat, sunscreen and bottled water. Wine tasting will only be offered to those over 18 years of age.
