Rio de Janeiro cruises

Rio will command your non-stop attention from the moment you set foot on its shores – or the golden sands of Copacabana or Ipanema for that matter. Climb Sugarloaf Mountain by cable car, then try out your samba steps as night falls. Rio is an amazing experience – a city everyone should visit at least once in their lifetime.

  • Favela District by Jeep

Hop in a Jeep and see Rio from a different perspective.

    Favela District by Jeep

Embark on a journey that shows you the less cosmopolitan side of life in Rio de Janeiro. Venture into the sprawling Favela of Rocinha on a guided excursion designed to provide an authentic look at how much of Brazil lives.

Rocinha is a community of about 60,000 less fortunate residents who live together in a cramped community of ramshackle homes and buildings. Yet, the ambiance here is one of constant improvement and today the community has banks, shops, restaurants, local favela art galleries, and much more. Rocinha locals have also embraced tourism, welcoming outsiders to experience a true taste of favela life.

Visit the house of Carlinhos and stroll along the community’s main avenue, Largo do Boiadeiro, on an insightful excursion unlike any other.

This excursion will operate by jeep and on foot. There is approximately 1½hours of walking over uneven and rough ground. This tour is not suitable for those with injuries or conditions, which may be affected by the bumpy ride. Pregnant women cannot not participate.

  • Scenes of Rio

The perfect option for those who would like to see the sights of Rio, without the walking.

    Scenes of Rio

Your scenic drive will take you through downtown Rio, where the colonial past meets the modern day skyscrapers. Visit Rio’s modern Cathedral, which in spite of its size, has no columns inside to support it, making it a most interesting piece of architecture. The Cathedral is the seat of the cardinal archbishop of Rio De Janeiro and stands at a height of 246 feet. Pass the Sambodromo district where the famous world Carnival parades are held. See Flamengo Park, the largest leisure area and urban park in Rio with its strong sporting traditions.

Continue to the exclusive Botafogo Bay, the high class commerce community area, which offers stunning views of the legendary Sugar Loaf Mountain.
Pass by the Botanical Gardens, the Barra da Tijuca district and travel along the coast passing Rio’s popular beachfronts. See São Conrado, Leblon, famous Ipanema and, of course, Copacabana with its vibrant bars, elegant hotels and fashionable nightclubs.

This excursion will operate by coach. This tour does not include entrances and requires minimal walking. Flash photography, short sleeves or shorts are not permitted inside the Cathedral.
