Gothenburg cruises

Sweden's second city, a lovely whirl of parks and canals, is resolutely proud of its seafaring ties. The Maritime Museum celebrates all things nautical while the modern opera house resembles a classic ocean liner. Beyond the 'Avenue', filled with shops and eateries, you'll arrive at Gotaplatsen, the expansive central square graced by an eye-catching statue of the sea god Poseidon.
