  • Venice Beach On Your Own

Explore Venice Beach ‘On Your Own’, Southern California’s quintessential bohemian playground.

    Venice Beach On Your Own

Stretching around 1½ miles along the manicured sands of the Pacific Ocean, the boardwalk, officially known as Ocean Front Walk is a large part of what makes the Venice area unique. Aligned with colourful and quirky street magicians and musicians, art and craft souvenir stalls and eateries and bars, the boardwalk ejects a circus like atmosphere. The Venice area is also where Arnold Schwarzenegger pumped himself to stardom, and where Julia Roberts and Dennis Hopper make their homes today.

Just a couple of blocks away from the liveliness of the boardwalk, you’ll find a series of narrow canals. Connected by one-lane bridges, these thread past eclectic homes where ducks preen and locals while away time in rowing boats.

You’ll enjoy around three hours of free time at your leisure to discover what Venice Beach has to offer.

    BEACH/WATER RELATED EXCURSIONS
For any excursion involving water, guests are reminded to exercise particular care. Alcohol and eating a full meal should be avoided before swimming. If buoyancy aids are provided for an activity they must be worn at all times. You should bear in mind that the sea is unpredictable. Children must be supervised by you at all times near water. All activities on the beach, water and in the sea are undertaken at your own risk. You’ll need to take swimwear, a towel, sunscreen and flat shoes that can be worn in the water.
