ACTIVITY EXCURSIONS
You and all those in your party should be aware that, in undertaking activity excursions, you will be involved in a degree of physical exertion and/or activity such as hiking, biking, snorkelling, kayaking, diving etc. By booking the excursion you confirm that you and all those in your party are in good physical and mental condition, with no history of conditions such as seizures, dizziness, fainting, heart condition, respiratory problems or back/neck problems (by way of example only). You should also ensure that no one in your party is taking medicine that carries a warning about impairment of physical or mental abilities. If you are pregnant this type of excursion may not be appropriate for you. It is your responsibility to ensure that you are fit and well enough to take part in the activities booked and you are reminded to take care for your own safety. Because of the risks associated with activity excursions, you may be asked by the excursion provider to sign a document which may affect or limit the excursion provider’s liability. Comfortable flat walking shoes are recommended.

Cunard will arrange for the excursions to be performed by the relevant excursion provider. Cunard does not provide or supply the excursion services. Cunard will exercise reasonable care and skill in the selection of the excursion provider, but will not in any circumstances have a greater liability than the excursion supplier and Cunard shall not be responsible for the negligent acts/omissions of the excursion supplier. Please note that in relation to all excursions Cunard is not responsible or liable for any loss, damage, or injury sustained by you unless such loss, damage or injury arises out of a breach of legal duty of Cunard.

Before booking any activity excursions it is essential that you ensure your travel insurance extends to cover the specified activity. It is your responsibility to obtain adequate insurance.

This excursion will operate by coach and on foot. The Advanced Scuderia Challenge carries an additional cover charge and both rides may be accessed only by adults. Visitors below the height of one and a half metres are considered as children and some rides are exclusively reserved for children. Several rides and attractions operate at high speed or cause jerks or unusual movements. Several require the ability to climb into them with minimal assistance and be strapped in for the duration of the experience. There are steps at every ride and attraction and several inclines are spread throughout Ferrari World. Terrain is mostly flat and paved with indoor tiling in places. Due to the rides and attractions being mechanical, occasionally there may be a possibility that one or more of them may not be functional on the day of your visit.

Embark your speedboat at a local marina and head out to sea in search of dolphins in their natural habitat; these lively, intelligent and fascinating creatures can be spotted swimming in the warm waters off the coast.

Experience the excitement of the sea air and wind rushing past as you give chase on the speedboat to catch sightings of dolphins; then feel the adrenaline as you get closer, charged with sensation you are about to see these mammals out in the wild as nature intended.

Although sightings are not guaranteed, the experienced boatmen are in constant contact with each other and will notify other boatmen of sightings – so there is a good chance of encountering the dolphins at close hand. Many species of dolphin are spotted in the area, including common dolphins, spinner dolphins and bottlenose dolphins; if you are very lucky you may even see sperm and hump back whales.

Mineral water and soft drinks will be served during your boat ride.


BEACH/WATER RELATED EXCURSIONS
For any excursion involving water, guests are reminded to exercise particular care. Alcohol and eating a full meal should be avoided before swimming. If buoyancy aids are provided for an activity they must be worn at all times. You should bear in mind that the sea is unpredictable. Lifeguards are unlikely to be present and there may not be a flag system to indicate whether or not it is safe to go in the water. In addition, beach activities may not be supervised or accompanied and so you should take care to satisfy yourself as to the safety of the beach and/or the sea at the time of your excursion. Please exercise caution when entering the sea as the seabed and aquatic environment is capable of springing surprises and we have not inspected the beach or seabed for its safety. Children must be supervised by you at all times near water. All activities on the beach, water and in the sea are undertaken at your own risk. You’ll need to take swimwear, a towel, sunscreen and flat shoes that can be worn in the water.

This excursion will operate by minibus and speedboat. There are several steps and a walk of approximately 900 feet through the floating marina to board the boats. This tour is not suitable for those with injuries or conditions, which may be affected by the bumpy ride. Pregnant women and children may not participate. The boats have awnings for shade. Sightings of dolphins or whales cannot be guaranteed. Space is limited, therefore early booking is recommended.

Located on the crescent of Palm Jumeirah, a fully reclaimed island off the coast of Dubai and self-declared as the ‘8th Wonder of the World’, Atlantis is truly a destination not to be missed. On arrival at this stunning hotel, begin your unique experience at The Lost Chambers, a labyrinth that will immerse you in an exotic array of sea creatures, mystical antiquities and ancient ruins. Explore 21 fresh water exhibits highlighting sealife from around the globe, as well as the Ambassador Lagoon, containing 65,000 fish and aquatic species in a three million gallon chamber; one of the largest in the world.

Afterwards, enjoy a relaxing buffet luncheon in Kaleidoscope, one of Atlantis’ luxurious restaurants, offering a selection of food from around the world.

This scenic 25-minute helicopter flight provides a unique, bird’s-eye-view of the extensive new developments of Dubai. See highlights such as the iconic Burj Al Arab as well as Palm Jumeirah, one of the three largest man-made islands in the world. You will also have the opportunity to grasp the full symbolism of another astonishing project, a cluster of 300 islands reclaimed along Dubai’s coast, collectively known as ‘The World’ islands.

Fly over Dubai Marina, the world’s largest man-made marina then photograph Burj Khalifa, which at over 2,600 feet tall is presently the tallest structure in the world. Fly over scenic Jumeirah Beach and the bustling Sheikh Zayed Road before making happy landings after a memorable experience.


This excursion will operate by minibus and helicopter. Seatbelts must be worn at all times when inside the aircraft, there will be a safety briefing prior to take off. There are two seats in the middle of the helicopter so not all guests will have a window seat. This tour will not run in the event of poor visibility and sandstorms. There is an overall weight limit for the helicopter which must not be exceeded for safety reasons, therefore you may be contacted on board to ensure the regulations are met.

Your day will begin with a scenic drive alongside the Suez Canal and the desert road to Cairo. The road is dotted with 'dwelling places’; however none are suitably equipped with comfort facilities, so the journey will be non-stop.

Step back thousands of years as you view some of the most mysterious structures on earth, the Pyramids of Giza. You will be driven to an elevated site that provides a magnificent panoramic view of the three largest pyramids. The mightiest and most massive, the Great Pyramid of Cheops, is the only remaining Wonder of the Ancient World. Walk up close to either Chephren or Mycerinus Pyramid to truly appreciate their size and amazing construction.

The ravages of nature and man have left the massive Sphinx battered, but unbowed. The lion’s body and head of a man rise from the vast desert sands near the pyramids as an incredible monument to the days of the pharaohs.

Sit back and reflect on the morning as you enjoy refreshments of a glass of wine or beer and a buffet luncheon in one of Cairo’s leading hotels.

A short stop will be made at a Papyrus Institute, where the art of paper making from reeds, discovered by the Ancient Egyptians, will be demonstrated for you.

Admire panoramic views of Abu Dhabi as you drive along the glittering tower-lined Corniche (sea front) en route passing Itihad Square, adorned with outsized symbols of Arabian hospitality. Reaching the 6 star Emirates Palace Hotel stop for photosgraphs.

Marina Mall is located on the picturesque breakwater along the Corniche where you have some free time to browse the shops. A leisurely drive will take you to the wharf where you will board an Arabian dhow (traditional wooden boat). Enjoy a relaxing hour long cruise as you take in vistas of the ‘Manhattan of the Middle East’. Glide gently past well-known landmarks and admire the historical monuments, lush green parks and luxury malls as a selection of light refreshments and non alcoholic beverages are served en route.

This excursion will operate by coach and dhow. There are 20 small steps at Marina Mall and ten steep steps in the dhow between decks and the amount of walking is optional at the Mall.

Experience a bird’s eye view of the capital’s landmarks during a scenic 15 minute seaplane flight.

Have your camera at the ready to capture the many highlights, including the popular Ferrari World Theme Park with its gigantic roof displaying the distinctive Ferrari logo, and the ultra-modern Yas Marina F1 racing circuit. Admire the intricate and uniquely designed Zayed Bridge, with its arches representing the undulating sand dunes of the desert.

Before landing back at the port, you’ll pass over the picturesque Corniche (waterfront) as well as the world renowned 6-star Emirates Palace Hotel.


This excursion will operate by seaplane. The running of this tour is subject to weather conditions. Seat belts must be kept fastened at all times during the flight. All current cabin baggage rules and restrictions that apply for commercial flights also apply for this tour. Passengers are required to carry clear passport copies on this tour due to security requirements.

Your tour starts with a view of the world-renowned luxury Burj Al Arab Hotel - a fantastic photograph opportunity. Continue to the Jumeirah Mosque, a magnificent example of modern Islamic architecture. This is followed by a drive along Sheikh Zayed Road, which is considered to be the 'Manhattan'of Dubai with its high-rise glass buildings. In complete contrast is the Bastakiya area - one of the oldest areas of Dubai, where you will see ancient houses bedecked with wind towers. These towers were designed to provide ventilation in the days before air-conditioning.

Your journey through the Bastakiya area includes a visit to the Dubai Museum, housed in the 18th century Al Fahidi Fort. The Museum features realistic displays, which provide a fascinating glimpse of the historical links of the city with trading and pearl diving.

Finally, board an Abra (water taxi) to cross the creek and visit the aromatic Spice Souk and the extensive Gold Souk. Here you can purchase exquisite gold jewellery at competitive prices.

Hop onboard your coach for a short transfer to the beautiful Movenpick Resort, majestically situated overlooking the Red Sea.

Take full advantage of the 5 star facilities, including 4 swimming pools, a beach restaurant and the private Red Sea Beach. You’ll find a souvenir shop and a foreign exchange service at the hotel. There is no need to bring a towel with you as you will be given one upon arrival.

The tour commences with a drive along Sheikh Zayed Road to reach the iconic Burj Al Arab, currently the world’s tallest water-based, all-suite hotel. Continue to Jumeirah, the picturesque residential area of Dubai that is home to modern-day palaces as well as the famous Jumeirah Mosque, a superb example of Islamic architecture and one of Dubai’s most photographed monuments.

Enjoy some refreshment at a local restaurant before driving to Al Bastakiya, the old part of Dubai. See the beautifully preserved old merchants’ homes with their ‘Barajeels,’ wind towers that served to cool homes during the hot summers before the advent of electricity and air-conditioning.

Your fascinating journey culminates with a short drive to the twin city of Deira via an underwater tunnel to visit the most famous landmark of Dubai – the Gold Souk.
