    Soller & a Train Ride

    Discover Soller, a quiet and picturesque town, nestled in the mountains, with a rugged northern coast. Situated in the Valley of the Sierra de Tramuntana, Soller is popular for its scenery and cool mountain air.

    On the north-western side of the island is the famous Palma-Soller train, an old fashioned electric train that has preserved its traditional character for the past 80 years. Savour a memorable ride along part of the track, chugging through the lovely countryside amidst orange and olive groves, almond and locust-bean trees, pretty villages and pine-covered mountains.

    Soller has long been a popular summer retreat for writers and artists who are attracted by the peace, the light, and the way of life of this verdant valley. Enjoy some free time for independent sightseeing.


    This tour will operate by coach, train and on foot. The train portion may operate in reverse order to that described above. There are 28 steps leading up to/from the train platform. The train is not adapted for carrying wheelchairs, and there are no restroom facilities on board. Restroom facilities can be found on the station platform in Soller. Estimated train journey time is approximately 50 - 60 minutes and includes some tunnels. The tour involves a slight uphill walk of approx 15 minutes to reach the coach parking.

    Climb aboard a 4x4 vehicle and take a ride on the wild side to the Tramuntana mountain and enjoy a barbecue at La Reserva Nature Park.

    Get ready for an off road adventure as your convoy travels towards La Reserva Puig de Galatzo, a nature reserve which accommodates three brown bears, emus, donkeys, goats peacocks and a variety of ducks in a landscape of caves and waterfalls.

    Enjoy the numerous stops along the way, whilst admiring different aspects of the island and learning about its flora, fauna and wildlife.

    All vehicles are equipped with drinks coolers and water will be served during along the way so you can keep your cool!

    Stop at La Reserva for an inviting barbecue luncheon where you will be able to relax and unwind with a well deserved sangria, before your journey back to the ship.

In addition, beach activities may not be supervised or accompanied and so you should take care to satisfy yourself as to the safety of the beach and/or the sea at the time of your excursion. Please exercise caution when entering the sea as the seabed and aquatic environment is capable of springing surprises and we have not inspected the beach or seabed for its safety. Children must be supervised by you at all times near water. All activities on the beach, water and in the sea are undertaken at your own risk. You’ll need to take swimwear, a towel, sunscreen and flat shoes that can be worn in the water.

    This tour will operate by 4x4. All vehicles have eight seats and will be driven by a driver-guide. Pregnant women and children under five may not participate. Due to the nature of the transportation this tour is not suitable for those with injuries or conditions, which may be affected by a bumpy ride. There will be around 45 minutes of walking over some uneven, rocky and inclined surfaces. Pathways can be slippery when wet. It is essential to wear flat, comfortable non-slip walking shoes. There may be opportunity to take a dip in a waterfall, so please remember to wear swimwear and take a towel.

  • Pollença & Formentor

    Visit the rugged north of Mallorca and relax on one of the best beaches on the island – Formentor.

    This delightful tour crosses the island towards Pollença passing Inca, the third largest town in Mallorca, famous for its leather industry and weekly markets.

    Pollença is located in the hills on the north east of Mallorca. This quiet town has some of the oldest Roman remains on the island, and along with its pretty whitewashed houses, preserves a local atmosphere and has been unaffected by tourism. Here, you will have around 30 minutes of free time to do as you please. It’s the perfect place to have a morning coffee.

    Continue your journey towards the Port of Pollença, where you will join a motor launch and be whisked away on a scenic ride to the beach of Formentor. Relax and enjoy approximately 1½ hours at leisure on one of the most idyllic areas of the island. Formentor beach is also home to Hotel Formentor, well known for the famous personalities that have stayed over the past decades, including Audrey Hepburn.

    On your return to Palma, a brief stop will be made at the Es Colomer viewpoint, where you can admire the beautiful landscape of the Mediterranean coast.

    Leaving the pier, you'll travel across the promenade by coach to view the exterior of Palma's Gothic style Cathedral and its Almudaina Palace.

    Sit back and take in the highlights of Palma from your coach. Your scenic drive takes you along the seafront past the magnificent, honey-coloured Cathedral and the Almudaina Palace. See the the Paseo Born, Teatro Principal and the tree-lined Rambla with its wonderfully-scented flower market. A stop for photographs will be made at Bellver Castle.

    Leaving the city behind, you will wind your way to Valldemossa through landscapes of pine forests, almond and olive groves. Enjoy time at leisure to stroll through one of Mallorca's most beautiful villages. Take in the magnificent views of the valley and Palma far upon the horizon.

    At the Mallorca Cultural Centre of Costa Nord, sit for a while as a film narrated by the actor Michael Douglas is shown, depicting the importance of the island's history, landscapes and people. Get a feel of the re-creation of the interior of the 'Nixe', a sailing boat that once belonged to the Archduke Luis Salvador of Austria, who studied and loved the coastline. The finale of the visit will be a performance of typical folkloric dances. Refreshments will be served during your visit to Costa Nord.

  • Bike Ride in the Old Town

    A great way to explore parts of Palma that other transport cannot reach is on this wonderful, leisurely bike ride.

    Your bike and guide will be waiting for you on the quayside and, after a short safety briefing; your bike ride will begin.

    As you cycle right into the heart of the Majorcan capital, you’ll pedal along Palma’s famous Paseo Maritimo, brimming with luxury yachts.

    Then it’s through the old city walls to reach the old town of Palma, exploring a maze of narrow, shady alleyways.

    Along the way, you’ll see the famous La Seu Cathedral, old churches, small monasteries and old aristocrat’s mansions with cosy patios and enchanting small plazas. You’ll have the opportunity to visit the Monastery of Santa Clara as well as one of the beautiful mansions.
