    Vehicles with an English-speaking guide and local driver are offered on tours shown below. No deviations to duration, venues if included, departure or return time can be made. This is a private vehicle; those accompanying you are family or friends with whom you agree to share costs. We do not match groups of passengers to form a private group for the vehicle. Vehicles and guides are extremely limited and so early reservation is recommended to avoid disappointment. These are selected tour itineraries.

    The tour fare is per vehicle and only one person in the party should book a ticket. The entire cost of the vehicle and tour will be charged to that person’s onboard account and cannot be divided between the party. Once on board, you will receive a request for the names of each individual in your party. This information is required to allow your party to disembark the ship for the tour.

    Entrance fees, meals, refreshments and gratuities are not included unless otherwise stated.

    Minibuses will take up to 6 passengers.

    Highlights of Monaco - There is approximately 1½ hours of walking over some uneven ground including cobblestoned surfaces. Flat, comfortable shoes are recommended. There are 19 steps to reach the Cathedral. Traffic can be extremely heavy and venues may be crowded. City buses used within the Principality are designed for standing and seated occupancy. Please note that not everyone will have a seat during the short transfers. Entrance fees are not included in this tour. Please pay careful attention to the meeting times to avoid missing your transfers.

    Discover Nice at a leisurely pace. See the city sights, take a ride on the tourist train and a stroll in the old town.

    Nice, the undisputed ‘Queen and Capital’ of the French Riviera. Take a drive along the Promenade des Anglais, a three-mile-long seafront boulevard with palms and flowers following the curve of the wonderful Bay of Angels.

    Popular with both the young and the young-at-heart, the Little Train is an effortless way to discover Nice. Board the small tourist train for a narrated ride through Nice. See the narrow streets of the Old Town and pass by the Cours Saleya, where the local flower market takes place. Climb up to Castle Hill Park, which provides an excellent view over Old Nice and the glittering Baie des Anges.

    You will have approximately one hour of free time to enjoy in the atmospheric Old Town. Stroll the beach front promenade, brows for local souvenirs or just relax in a nearby café.

    Note: Essential information. This tour involves limited walking however passengers must be able to undertake an approximate 15 minute walk from the coach parking area to the land train departure point. There are also some steps to negotiate, including those onto and off the coach. Passengers will also be required to undertake a certain amount of walking during free time. In order to use toilet facilities passengers are advised to purchase a drink from one of the small cafés. These are likely to be located on the basement level. On Mondays the flower market is replaced with a flea market.

  • RIVIERA PANORAMA

    RIVIERA PANORAMA

    Soak up the scenery of the fabulous French Riviera. Enjoy a panoramic drive with stops in the pretty towns of Eze and Menton.

    This relaxing panoramic tour takes you along the famous Corniche roads, spectacularly set one above the other on the mountainside.

    You will head along the Middle Corniche and on to the old village of Eze, perched high on a promontory like an eagle’s nest, dominating Cap d’Ail. Enjoy a brief stroll in the square situated at the bottom of the pretty village of Eze.

    Travel along the Upper Corniche to La Turbie, where marvellous views extend over the border and the Principality of Monaco below. Your tour also passes by the old village of Roquebrune, with its imposing castle.

    Menton is the last French town before reaching the Italian border and claims to be the warmest resort on the French Riviera. Enjoy free time in Menton to browse in the shops, or relax in a café enjoying the atmosphere and wonderful ocean views.

    Visit Nice and Cannes, on the fabled Côte d’Azur. These resorts epitomise the charm, elegance and sophistication of the Riviera.

    Take a scenic drive along the coastal road to Nice, passing through Beaulieu and Villefranche-sur-Mer. Upon arrival in Nice, you will take a guided walk through the narrow streets of the Vieille Ville — the Old Town. Afterwards, enjoy some free time to explore on your own, relax in a café or stroll through the delightful flower market.

    Leaving Nice, you will drive along the famous Promenade des Anglais, then take the motorway to the glittering resort of Cannes. Upon arrival, you will have some free time to explore the Côte d’Azur’s most famous resort, home to the internationally renowned film festival. Stroll La Croisette, which separates the elegant town from parkland and beaches, browse the boutiques or view the pleasure boats in the marina.

    A delicious luncheon of local delicacies will be served in a restaurant in Cannes.

    Capture the highlights and charm of the fascinating Principality of Monaco.

    Many tours of Monaco and Monte-Carlo involve a considerable amount of walking. Special arrangements have been made to use local city buses to transfer between attractions, allowing much of the walking to be avoided.

    The narrow streets of Old Monaco and the Prince’s Palace cling together on a promontory. You will see Prince’s Palace Square and the Cathedral, where Prince Rainier married Grace Kelly and where they are both now laid to rest. There will be free time here for shopping.

    Within the district of Monte-Carlo, you will find the Place du Casino, a golden square boasting the Hotel de Paris, Café de Paris and the legendary Monte-Carlo Casino. View the exterior of the magnificent Casino, which stands on a fine terrace surrounded by beautiful gardens.

    For all Formula One fans; see the famous F1 circuit, and take a look at the Prince of Monaco’s amazing classic car collection.

    One of the world’s greatest and most challenging motor racing events, the Monaco Grand Prix is the most famous ‘street circuit’ in the Formula One calendar.

    As you follow part of the road on foot, you can almost imagine Hamilton or Raikkonen whizzing by in their McLaren or Ferrari. See the hairpin bends and famous corners, including Casino Square and the entrance to the tunnel. Just picture the scene in your mind as you walk part of the course, screaming engines, smoking tyres and the brilliant drivers on a course that allows no margin of error. Just think, next time you see the race on TV, you can tell your friends, ‘I’ve walked part of that circuit!’

    Pay a visit to the Prince of Monaco’s Private Classic Car Collection, a personal collection of 105 vintage and veteran cars, guaranteed to impress, it is an absolute must for car buffs. Just imagine owning a 1929 Bugatti, a 1903 De Dion Bouton or a 1986 Lamborghini Countach or even the 1952 Rolls Royce. Each glittering car is perfectly maintained and, of course, was owned by Prince Rainier.

    Note: The whole of this tour will be conducted on foot and includes extensive walking and many steps. Flat, comfortable shoes, a hat, sunscreen and a bottle of water are recommended.

    Explore the narrow streets of old Monaco and enjoy a visit to the Palace’s state apartments and St Nicholas Cathedral.

    Upon arrival in to Monaco, your guided walking tour takes you through the narrow, twisting lanes and vaulted passageways of the old city. The picturesque buildings date back to the 14th century.

    The Royal Palace is located in the west end of the old city facing the Place du Palais and still retains its medieval towers. An audio player narrates the Palace’s highlights as you tour the ornate state apartments, including the first Empire-style Throne Room and the Chambre d’York.

    The St Nicholas Cathedral is built on the site of a 13th century church and is the site of the royal tombs. Princess Grace and Prince Rainier are interred in the cathedral, located in the heart of the old city. Thousands come each year to pay their respects.

    During your visit, you will have some free time to explore the old town of Monaco and to browse the many charming shops.

    Note: This tour involves approximately one hour of guided walking. Flat, comfortable shoes are recommended. The Royal Palace is closed to the public from November to mid-April. During these months an explanation of the exterior will be made and additional shopping time given. Photography is not permitted in the Royal Palace. Proper attire is required in The Royal Palace and St Nicholas Cathedral and beachwear is not acceptable. There are two flights of steps to negotiate at the Palace.     From Monte-Carlo, travel west to the glittering enclave of Cannes. Upon arrival at the elegant La Croisette Avenue, you will take a short guided walking tour of the main highlights of Cannes. Afterwards, enjoy some free time to further explore at leisure, browse the shops of the Rue d'Antibes, admire the hotels or view the yachts and pleasure boats in the marina.

    Your tour will continue to St Paul de Vence, one of the most beautiful villages in the Provence region. The charm and spectacular scenery which surrounds St Paul has changed little over the years and has inspired artists such as Picasso. The streets are aligned with delightful art studios and antique and craft shops. Enjoy a short guided walk through the narrow, cobblestone streets before being given some free time to explore independently.

    Cannes and St Paul De Vence offer numerous cafés and restaurants for you to purchase luncheon or refreshments during your tour.

    Note: This tour involves some walking over uneven cobblestoned surfaces and some steep inclines. Flat, comfortable shoes are recommended. The walk from the coach park to St Paul de Vence is approximately 15 minutes, which is uphill upon return. The journey time between Monte Carlo/ Cannes and Cannes/ St Paul de Vence is approximately one hour and 15 minutes. Luncheon is not included.

    An opportunity to rediscover this charming resort if you have visited before, or for those who prefer to explore independently.

    Setting off from Monte Carlo, you will head along the motorway and on to the glittering enclave of Cannes, home of the famous film festival.

    Upon arrival, your drop off point will be along the famous and elegant La Croisette, where you will have around three hours to explore Cannes at your own leisure. You may choose to stroll La Croisette, which separates the town from parkland and beaches, browse the boutiques or view the yachts and pleasure boats in the marina. Perhaps head to the charming old town and discover the quaint streets lined with an array of shops and galleries. There are plenty of cafés and restaurants to choose from in Cannes, where you can purchase some refreshments or luncheon.

    Afterwards, you will rejoin your escort and coach at the designated meeting point for the return drive to Monte Carlo.

    Note: The drive between Monte Carlo and Cannes is approximately one hour and 15 minutes each way. Comfortable, flat walking shoes are recommended.     Monaco is one of Europe’s smallest independent states where the rich are free to flaunt their wealth and where one of the ‘must-have’s’ is a yacht berthed in La Condamine harbour. The upper part of Monaco stands 200 feet above the shore, and drops perpendicularly to the waves below on almost all sides. Your guide will show you the highlights of Monaco-Ville, including the narrow alleys of the Old Town and the exteriors of the Prince’s Palace and the Cathedral, where Prince Rainier married Grace Kelly and where they are both now buried.

    Monte-Carlo is the epitome of glitz and glamour, where fortunes have been won and lost on the roll of a dice. Life in Monte-Carlo revolves around three nerve centres; the Casino, the Hotel de Paris and the Café de Paris. The stunning Casino is surrounded by beautiful gardens; this area is a favorite haunt of the rich and famous.

    Enjoy some free time to browse the exclusive boutiques, shop for a souvenir of your visit or perhaps relax in one of the chic cafés and watch the world go by.
