    Add another island to your itinerary, Lanai – the smallest isle of the Hawaiian archipelago and once known as “the Pineapple Island.

    Your tour begins when you board the 'Expeditions' fast passenger ferry to Lanai from the main loading pier at Lahaina Harbour. During your 45 minute trip across the Auau Channel, you will enjoy open ocean viewing of all the islands of Maui County, including Maui, MolokaI, Kahoolawe, Molokini and, of course, Lanai. Look out for spinner dolphins and whales on the ride over.

    Upon arrival at Manele Harbour, you will be met by your guides and your adventure really begins! Experience a unique ironwood forest on your way to the ‘Garden of the Gods’ – a stunning, natural red rock formation in the crater that often inspires visions of a visit to Mars. Other highlights include ‘Shipwreck Beach’ where the breathtaking views of Molokai are interrupted only by the shipwreck towering just offshore, and a picnic style luncheon in Lanai City. Your guides are experienced naturalists who know the terrain, flora and fauna and will share with you interesting stories and legends throughout your tour around Lanai. You'll travel in a roomy, air-conditioned all-wheel-drive vehicle.

The tour on Lanai is 3½ hours in duration. There is approximately 30 minutes of walking on this tour.     This excursion operates by shuttle and by helicopter. Scenic transfer time to Kahului Heliport is 50 minutes. Flight time is approximately 45 minutes. For each guest weighing 250 pounds or more, an adjacent, empty seat purchase is required to safely balance the aircraft. The charge for an adjacent empty seat is reduced to 50% off of the tour price. For Children 24 months and older the FAA requires them to have their own seat. Infants 0 to 23 months can sit on a lap free of charge.

    This tour combines two of the most popular attractions – the Iao Valley State Park and a working Tropical Plantation.

    Your tour begins with a guided one hour drive to Iao Valley State Park. View one of the main highlights of the park, the ‘Iao Needle’, a 2,250 foot cinder cone pinnacle that dominates the surrounding lush terrain. Enjoy a walk in the park, where you will see impressive views of the Valley and beyond.

    Next, visit one of Maui's most interesting sights, the Maui Tropical Plantation. During your visit to this working plantation, you will take a 35 minute narrated tram tour, through fruit fields and flower orchards. Along the way you will also see fields of coffee beans, bananas, macadamia nuts, papayas, mangoes and orchids.

    You will also have the chance to see a coconut husking demonstration and there will be a short time at the plantation to do some souvenir shopping.

    If you feel like something a little more active, it is possible to rent beach and snorkeling equipment on the beach.

    An opportunity to view Maui’s underwater wonders and magnificent marine life aboard a real submarine.

    Enjoy a boat ride along the breathtaking Maui coastline. Upon arrival at the site, you will be transferred to the submarine to begin your underwater adventure. The Atlantis Submarine is the world’s most technologically advanced passenger submarine that descends to depths of 125 feet. You will witness a watery world through large view ports, and see a variety of exotic tropical fish, coral gardens, moray eel, and other fascinating marine life.

    You will glide over the sunken vessel the ‘Brig Carthaginian’. The Carthaginian was built in 1920 and sailed into Lahaina waters in 1978. She was converted into a replica supply vessel that would have sailed the Hawaiian waters in the 19th century. Needing major repairs it was sunk in 2005 to create an artificial reef, which has developed into a self-sustaining habitat for indigenous fish, coral and other marine life.

    The friendly crew will share their love of the ocean and explain how it is so much a part of their rich culture and history.


    This excursion operates by boat and submarine.The minimum height to participate is three feet tall. This tour involves very little walking, however guests must be able to negotiate an 12 step ladder into and out of the submarine. The submarine dive lasts approximately 45 minutes.

    Afterwards, enjoy a locally grown luncheon that is a Maui favourite on the slopes of the Haleakala Volcano. During luncheon you will be presented with a choice of freshly prepared entrées to complement the farm and agricultural components experienced during your tour. Each entrée showcases some of Hawaii’s finest locally grown produce, and you’ll taste why they’re the locals’ favourite!

    As your tour draws to an end, you’ll take the return drive to Lahaina along with a new found knowledge and taste for pineapple.

Pregnant women and children under the age of five may not participate. This tour involves driving and walking though open plantation fields which are uneven and bumpy.     West Maui is home to many of the best snorkelling spots on Maui. The coastline has an array of colourful corals, marine life and calm coves. Your experienced and knowledgeable crew will pick the best snorkel spots for the day whilst allowing you to snorkel from the boat or simply relax on board and soak up the sunshine.

    With those famous Maui Trade Winds just a few hundred yards off shore, your crew wastes no time in hoisting the sails and getting into some serious sailing before dropping anchor, where you will be issued with your snorkelling equipment and given some expert tuition before you don a mask and fins and go snorkelling in the crystal-clear waters.

    A light luncheon consists of “make your own” deli sandwiches. Vegetarian meals are available, but please request when booking your excursion. An assortment of non alcoholic beverages will be available throughout the day.

  • Rainforest & Waterfall Walk

    Take a scenic drive to the enchanting Ho’olawa Valley and enjoy a walk in the lush tropical rainforest.

    Rainforest & Waterfall Walk

    Walk for a mile each way along two streams that wind through verdant rainforest which has a great variety of trees, flowers, bamboo, ferns and vines. The streams cascade down the mountain to form several waterfalls from three to twelve metres high and every waterfall has a large pool perfect for those who want to swim. It is unusual for a Hawaiian valley to have so many waterfalls so close together, so this valley is a rare treat to visit. You will sample wild fruits and herbs along the trail and be able to try wild Shampoo Ginger (Awapuhi) in your hair during the summer.

    Throughout your tour you will learn of Hawaii’s geology, botany, culture and history from your friendly and knowledgeable tour guides.

    This excursion will operate by mini-van and on foot. The walk is a two mile round trip. Footing can be tricky as there are rocks, roots, streams and sometimes mud to navigate. This is not a strenuous walk, but participants should be in good physical condition and should expect to encounter occasional steep inclines, that may involve using your hands and ropes to navigate. Wear a swimsuit under comfortable clothing, hiking or tennis shoes, sunscreen, sunglasses and bring a towel. Minimum age is six years old; all guests under the age of 18 years must be accompanied by an adult.

    Visit Haleakala National Park, the site of a massive crater seven miles long and over 3,000 feet deep.

    Departing from the ship, your guided drive up the mountain will take you through Maui's diverse scenery. Reaching Haleakala National Park, the panoramic views from the summit are spectacular.

    Last erupting in 1790, the astonishing crater of this dormant volcano measures 7½ miles long by 2½ miles wide, 21 miles around, is over 3,000 feet deep and covers 19 square miles. At 10,032 feet above sea level, this incredible crater could accommodate Manhattan Island with room to spare, while stacking the Empire State Building four times without reaching the top.

    From your viewpoint you will appreciate first-hand the unique beauty of this massive crater with its interesting mix of volcano rock and plant life. A stop will be made at the Maui Tropical Plantation for luncheon.


    The journey to the crater is approximately 2 hours. This excursion will operate by coach and on foot. You’ll be served a late lunch, so please enjoy a hearty breakfast and bring a bottle of water.
