    You will visit Mauna Loa Macadamia Nut Factory and learn how macadamia nuts are processed. Sample the nuts and browse the gift store for souvenirs.

    Your next stop is the Volcanoes National Park. Drive through portions of the Crater Rim that circles Kilauea's summit caldera and craters. You will make frequent stops and experience the beauty of Hawaii's volcanoes. View smooth and jagged lava, lava tubes, sulphur banks and take a short walk through a rain forest path leading to the famed Thurston Lava Tube, a natural wonder unique to Hawaii.

    At the Jaggar Museum, view videos of volcanic eruptions and working seismic equipment relating to the Volcano Observatory.

    Finally visit the Big Island Candies Store. Here you will be able to stock up on world famous handmade Hawaiian treats.


    This excursion will operate by coach and on foot. This tour does not view molten lava flows. Elevation is 3,999 feet above sea level and is not recommended for passengers with respiratory conditions. This tour involves extensive walking over paths and rough uneven terrain inside the Thurston Lava Tube. Naturally occurring sulphur gases are present. There is a steep incline at the Botanical Garden. This itinerary may run in reverse order. The Mauna Loa Macadamia Nut Factory is closed on weekends, therefore the visit will include the visitors centre only.

    Take an amazing drive along the 11-mile Crater Rim, which circles the Kilauea Volcano summit, caldera, and craters. You will make frequent stops to experience the wonder and mystique of Hawaii's volcanoes. See smooth and jagged lava, lava tubes, sulphur banks, and bleak lava fields.

    After your drive, take a short walk through a rain forest path leading to the famed Thurston Lava Tube, a natural wonder unique to Hawaii.

    The Thomas A. Jaggar Museum is located 3 miles inside the National Park and offers a fascinating insight into the history of the volcanoes. Watch videos of volcanic eruptions; see geologic displays, and seismic equipment relating to the Hawaiian Volcano Observatory.

    There are spectacular overlooks into the Kilauea Caldera and Halema’uma’u Crater. Kilauea Caldera is 2 miles across and 400 feet deep in places. Smell the brimstone, and hear steam hissing out of fissures in the rock.

    After leaving the park, you will visit the Mauna Loa Macadamia Nut Factory to see the production of the nuts, and have the opportunity to purchase a variety of nut products.

Due to rough uneven terrain, steps and the high elevation at the Volcano, this tour is not recommended for those Guests with walking difficulties or respiratory or heart problems. There are many lovely snorkelling spots to choose from and your experienced and knowledgeable crew will pick the best snorkel spots for the day.

    If you wish to snorkel you will be provided with snorkelling gear, instruction and a great personal service, or simply sit back, relax and drink in the breathtaking scenery.

    ACTIVITY EXCURSIONS
    You and all those in your party should be aware that, in undertaking activity excursions, you will be involved in a degree of physical exertion and/or activity such as hiking, biking, snorkelling, kayaking, diving etc. By booking the excursion you confirm that you and all those in your party are in good physical and mental condition, with no history of conditions such as seizures, dizziness, fainting, heart condition, respiratory problems or back/neck problems (by way of example only).     Drive over the Ko’olau Mountains to the Valley of the Temples, location of the stunning Byodo Temple. Lying at the base of 2,000 foot lush green cliffs, this beautiful Buddhist temple is a replica of the 900 year old Byodo-In located in Uji, Japan. The valley sits against a back-drop of tall cliffs and is landscaped with traditional lush Japanese gardens and Koi ponds.

    Inside the temple you will find the largest wooden Buddha carved over 900 years ago and decorated with gold and lacquer.

    Follow the scenic shores of Kahana Bay to Makalena State Beach Park, renowned for its native plant and seabird species, including Kahuku’s Shrimp Farm. You’ll stop at one of the locals favorite shrimp trucks for some delicious locally farmed Garlic Shrimp, Fish or Chicken and Hawaiian style shaved ice.

    Continue to the world famous Sunset Beach, an eye-catching region famed for its towering waves. Sunset Beach is on the North Shore of Oahu in Hawaii and known for big wave surfing during the winter season, including the O'Neill world cup surfing competition.

    Visit Turtle Beach to observe rare green sea turtles resting on the golden sand, then travel south to the historic village of Haleiwa, colourful home to surfers, artists and craftspeople.

    En route to the Dole Pineapple Plantation you will enjoy extensive views of pineapple fields. On reaching the plantation you can view displays and presentations about this fruit and learn the history of Dole and the plantation centre.

    The submarine dive site is located just two miles from Lahaina harbour. Your tour begins with a scenic drive along Maui’s beautiful coastline followed by a boat ride out to the Submarine and dive site. Upon arrival at the site, you’ll be transferred to the submarine to begin your underwater adventure. The Atlantis Submarine is the world’s most technologically advanced passenger submarine that descends to depths of 125-feet. To see colour changes at various depths, you may choose to wear clothes with red and/or fluorescent colours.

    You will witness this watery world through 2½ foot view-ports and see a variety of exotic tropical fish, coral gardens, moray eel and other fascinating marine life.     Witness amazing views of the placid Keehi Lagoon and historic Honolulu Harbour. Here you will view Aloha Tower, once the tallest structure on the island. See downtown Honolulu, featuring the only royal palace in the country. Above the city stands the Punchbowl, the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific.

    Your flight continues above Ala Moana Beach Park, Magic Island, the Ala Wai Yacht Harbour and Waikiki Beach. Beyond, you'll see Diamond Head Crater from a dramatic perspective, the Gold Coast, where millionaires make their homes and spectacular Hanauma Bay.

    Rounding to the east end of the island, you'll witness the rugged coastline, Sandy Beach, Makapuu Point and the lighthouse. Your splendid aerial adventure continues over Sea Life Park, the estate where TV's, ‘Magnum P.I’, was filmed.
