    Visit the spectacular Batu Caves and discover how pewter is created, on this unique tour.

    Batu Caves & School of Hard Knocks

    Set in a huge limestone hill, which is said to be over 400 million years old, the Batu Caves are a natural wonder. There are three main caves and several smaller ones, one of which; the Temple Cave, boasts an ornate Hindu Shrine.

    The 272 steps leading to the Temple Cave may be a challenge to some, but the spectacular scene awaiting you inside the Caves makes the climb worth it.

    Afterwards, visit the Royal Selangor Visitor Centre, where you will be taken back over a hundred years to the founding of what is today, the world’s largest pewter manufacturer.

    During your visit, you will learn how pewter is crafted at the Royal Selangor Factory before joining the 'School of Hard Knocks'. At this entertaining pewtersmithing workshop, you’ll be taught how to create your own pewter dish using traditional tools and methods. The finished product is then yours to take home as a souvenir of your memorable tour.

    Discover the colourful Sri Mariamman Hindu Temple, one of the most ornate and elaborate in the country. The decoration incorporates intricate carvings, gold embellishments and hand painted motifs. View the picturesque, Jamek Mosque, with its onion domes and red and white striped minarets.

    After a demonstration on the preparation of the popular 'Teh Tarik' drink and roti canai or pancakes, continue your journey by coach through the heart of the city for a photograph stop at the famous Petronas Twin Towers.

    Enjoy a Malay buffet luncheon before visiting the KL Tower, one of the most prominent and distinctive landmarks of the country. Standing at over 1300 feet, it is the fourth tallest communication tower in the world that offers a spectacular view of Kuala Lumpur from the observation deck.

    Your scenic drive takes you past impressive local developments, before stopping to photograph Kings Palace; the official residence of His Majesty the King of Malaysia. Capture the beautifully landscaped gardens that surround the palace, and take a moment to enjoy the tranquil atmosphere.

    Continue to the National Monument, which was designed by Felix De Weldon, the architect of the famous Iwo Jima Memorial. This huge bronze monument was built to pay tribute to the valiant soldiers who gave their lives defending the country during the communist insurgency in the 1950’s.

    Pass by the National Mosque and the Old Railway Station before arriving at Independence Square, where the charming mock-Tudor structure of the British Royal Selangor Club still remains. Other remarkable buildings viewed are the Sultan Abdul Samad Building, which served as the government administration centre during the British era, and the Cathedral of Saint Mary The Virgin.

    Your final photograph stop is at the magnificent Petronas Twin Towers, the world’s tallest building until 2003.

    Your first stop is a visit to a traditional Malaysian home for a unique opportunity to share the villagers' lifestyle. Meet a typical Malay family in their home and be treated to refreshments of coffee and tea served with local Malay cakes. An interpreter is on hand to assist the flow of conversation.

    After meeting the local people, continue onto the Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Mosque, for a photograph stop. Commonly referred to as the 'Blue Mosque', it boasts the tallest minarets in the world and is reputedly one of the most stunning structures in the country. Proceed onto the Alam Shah Palace, the residence of the former Sultan of Selangor, to stop for photographs.

    Putrajaya ‘Intelligent Garden City’ was named after Malaysia’s first Prime Minister, the late Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al-Haj. This outstanding area stretches over 11,320 acres and more than 70% of Putrajaya is devoted to greenery and water with 13 different gardens. The principle landscape is the man-made lake, the Putrajaya Wetland. Native wetland plants from over 50 local species were propagated in the 7-hectre Putrajaya Wetland Nursery prior to planting in the wetland cells.

    Your city highlights tour will stop at Perdana Putra, the Prime Minister’s Office Complex and Putra Mosque that incorporates Islamic architecture from Turkestan, Kazakhstan and Morocco. Other sights include the 1,200 feet long Seri Wawasan Bridge built across the Putrajaya Lake and Putra Square, formed with a combination of 11, 13 and 14 star shapes that represent the development of Malaysia.

    Visit The Children's Home to spread some joy to those kids that have not had the best start life.

    The Children's Home a non-profit making organisation that provides a home and love to children who gone through difficult times at an early age, including orphans, abandoned and abused children.

    The Home has its vision firmly set on its goal of providing love, security and hope for the neglected and needy children in society. Its objectives are to help and assist children who need care and protection, especially children from broken families. The organisation provides shelter, food, clothing, medication and education to children hailing from poverty stricken families. Counselling and psychiatry services are available to children, parents and predominantly single parents.

    Visit the Children's Home and interact with the children and volunteers to see how these children are cared and loved at the Home. To round off your memorable visit, the children will provide some entertainment.


    This excursion will operate by coach and on foot. This tour includes a donation of 25 $SGD per person for the Children's Home. If guests wish to give anything extra i.e. stationery, canned foods etc it will be welcomed, however we suggest that this is done directly to the Children's Home representative to ensure equitable distribution.     Kuala Lumpur's colourful and beautiful landscaped parks and gardens have enchanted many nature lovers.

    At the Lake Gardens, enjoy a visit to the Orchid and Hibiscus Gardens featuring around 5,000 species of hibiscus flowers and some 3,000 species of orchids, including 800 from Malaysia alone. Nearby is the Butterfly Park, home to over 6,000 colourful butterflies. The Park's tropical rainforest imitates their natural habitat.

    Stop at Independence Square, the former cricket field of the British Royal Selangor Club, where you will also see the Sultan Abdul Samad Building, which grandly overlooks the Square and was among the most significant landmarks built by the British.

    After a buffet luncheon at a local restaurant, take some photographs of the famous Petronas Twin Towers, which were, until 2003, the tallest twin buildings in the world.

    Upon reaching Kuala Lumpur, the first stop will be at the National Museum. Showcasing traditional Malay architecture, the museum exhibits colonial eras, Malacca Sultanate and Malaysia today after 50 years of Independence.

    A stop will be made at the National Mosque, which embodies a contemporary expression of traditional Islamic art, calligraphy and ornamentation. Located adjacent to the National Mosque, is the impressive Old Railway Station, one of the city's most photographed landmarks.

    Independence Square is the former playing field of the Royal Selangor Club, and the place where many celebrations take place during Independence Day. From here, continue onto the magnificent Petronas Twin Towers for a photograph.
