Ko samui, Thailand - Far East Cruises

Thailand's third largest island draws understandable acclaim with its flawless sands and iridescent waters. The majority of the island’s population reside in Nathorn, Ko Samui’s capital. The island’s first settlers were a mix of Hainanese coconut farmers and Malay fishermen. You may seek out tumbling waterfalls and the 15-metre Big Buddha – that’s if you can resist those magnificent white beaches, freshly caught seafood and sweet tropical fruits.

  • Dog & Cat Rescue Centre

Visit the Dog and Cat Rescue Centre at Samui to see the great work the team there achieve and meet the grateful residents.

    Dog & Cat Rescue Centre

The Dog and Cat Rescue Centre was founded in April 1999 on Samui Island. Here you will be able to meet Ms Brigitte Gomm, the founder of the Centre and see how the team live and work at the shelter. If you wish, you will have the opportunity to help out the teams with their washing and grooming of the animals.

The main goals of the Rescue Centre include injecting all dogs and cats against rabies, deworming, treating all stray dogs and cats in the event of injury or sickness and giving them somewhere to rest. Pet owners are also educated on the care and welfare of their pets.

On your return drive, you will stop at Chaweng Beach for an hour at leisure, for an opportunity to wander along the Chaweng Beach Road browsing in the shops.

This excursion will operate by minibus and on foot. A small donation is included in the cost of the tour; however the Centre is always in need of extra shampoo, old towels, small soft toys for the puppies and dog food. For more information please visit www.samuidog.org.

If buoyancy aids are provided for an activity they must be worn at all times. You should bear in mind that the sea is unpredictable.
