  • West Coast and Tula Museum

    Venture to the west coast of the island to capture its unique volcanic features, and enjoy a visit to the Tula Museum.

    Sit back, relax and soak up the scenery as your scenic drive takes you across to the west coast of Curaçao, and on to Boka Tabla, one of the island’s national parks. A stop will be made to allow you to admire the rock formations of Curaçao’s volcanic coastline and to capture photographs of the vast waves thundering into an underground cavern.

    Your journey continues along the coast before reaching the Tula Museum. Located in a restored plantation house, the Tula Museum features exhibits dedicated to Curaçao’s African heritage. During a guided tour of the museum, you’ll learn interesting facts about the African ancestors, during and after the slavery period.

    Afterwards, a short photograph stop will be made at Kenepa Beach, one of the longest and most beautiful natural beaches on the island.

    As you journey back to the port you’ll pass the Jan Kok salt flats, home to flocks of pink flamingos. You’ll also pass by the former house of Jan Kok, a legendary Dutchman famed for his amorous adventures.


    This excursion will operate by bus and on foot. There is approximately one hour of walking on this tour over varying terrain, including uneven ground, shingle and some steps. Comfortable, non-slip flat walking shoes are recommended.

    Take a brief boat ride out to Sea Aquarium mooring pier, enjoying the fresh sea breeze and beautiful coastal scenery along the way. Upon arrival, you be taken to the ‘Wet and Wild’ beach area where can relax on your complimentary beach chair and enjoy a welcome refreshment. Take a swim, enjoy a walk or simply soak up the sun on the golden sands.

    There is a bar, restaurant and toilet facilities available for your convenience.

    For any excursion involving water, guests are reminded to exercise particular care. Alcohol and eating a full meal should be avoided before swimming. If buoyancy aids are provided for an activity they must be worn at all times. You should bear in mind that the sea is unpredictable.     This excursion will operate by catamaran. There is a walk of approximately 10-15 minutes from the mooring pier to the ‘Wet and Wild’ beach area. The beach is man-made. Please remember your swimwear, sunscreen and a towel. There may be independent suppliers on the beach that offer watersports, these are provided by parties unconnected to Cunard.

  • Seaworld Explorer

    Discover the fascinating underwater world of Curaçao as you glide along in the comfort of your semi-submarine.

    Seaworld Explorer

    From the dock in Willemstad, it is just a short drive to the Seaworld Explorer, a state-of-the-art semi-submarine. Developed in Australia for use on the Great Barrier Reef, this vessel does not actually submerge. You will descend into the hull of this cruising underwater observatory, and sit in air-conditioned comfort, five feet below the surface of the water.

    As you explore the sea life through large glass windows, you will see dozens of colourful tropical fish such as Yellowtail Snapper, Sergeant Majors, Parrotfish and Queen Angelfish. Your underwater adventure also includes a narrated tour of the coral reefs along the south side of the island, which took thousands of years to grow. Look out for the diver, who will feed some of the fish, alongside the seaworld explorer. Just offshore you will also observe the ocean wall, which drops sharply to depths of several hundred feet.


    This excursion will operate by semi-submersible. The Seaworld explorer is not suitable for those who suffer from seasickness. This tour involves limited walking; however guests must be able to negotiate a 200 metre walk from the bus to the Seaworld Explorer, as well as nine steep steps on and off. Marine life sightings are dependent on local sea conditions.

  • Willemstad Trolley Train

    Step aboard the Willemstad Trolley Train and gain an overview of the capital of Curacao.

    A taxi will transfer you the short distance across the Queen Juliana Bridge to your waiting Trolley Train.

    Sit back and relax as you pass through the bustling streets of Willemstad, taking in the surrounding sights. During your tour, you will also enjoy a brief stop by the Pietermaai Cathedral.

    Afterwards, you will disembark the Trolley Train at Fort Amsterdam. You may choose to remain in Willemstad at the end of the tour. If so, you will be responsible for your own return to the quayside.


    This excursion will operate by taxi and trolley train. It is important to note that the duration of the trolley train ride is approximately one hour 15 minutes, subject to local traffic conditions. The remainder of the tour duration allows for the transfer time between the ship and town and vice versa, and the possibility of heavy traffic. In the event of less traffic or the ship berthing nearer to Willemstad, less transfer time may be required. All timings are approximate. Guests must negotiate the step onto and off the Trolley Train. Please note that the Cathedral may not be accessible during services. Modest dress is recommended to enter the Cathedral.

    Discover the charming scenery of Curaçao, combined with some time to relax on the beach.

    Embark on a scenic drive through the residential area of Otrobanda. This historically important part of Willemstad boasts many important pieces of architecture. From here you’ll see St Anna Bay, which is located on the opposite side and divides the capital into two parts.

    Continue over the Queen Juliana Bridge, where you’ll be treated to a pleasant view of Willemstad and its colourful buildings. Your journey then takes you through the commercial part of the capital and the once flourishing district of Scharloo, where the early Jewish merchants built stately homes.

    Enjoy a visit to Chobolobo Plantation House, where the authentic Curaçao liquor is produced. During a tour of the small factory you’ll have the opportunity to sample some of the different types of liquor.

    Afterwards, head towards the eastern part of the island and the beautiful Spanish waters area, from here you’ll experience spectacular views.

    Complete your tour at Mambo Beach, where you’ll have around two hours to spend relaxing in the sun.

    Discover the underwater world of Curaçao, combined with a visit to the Chobolobo Liqueur Factory.

    Semi Sub & Sights

    Descend into the hull of the Seaworld Explorer underwater observatory. Sitting in air-conditioned comfort five feet below the surface, you can watch the watery world and its inhabitants pass you by through the large windows.

    You will see coral reefs along the south side of the island and notice the ocean wall dropping sharply to depths of several hundred feet, a view only normally seen by submarines and divers. Dozens of colourful tropical fish such as Yellowtail Snapper, Sergeant Majors, Parrotfish and Angelfish make these warm waters their home. Look out for the diver, who will feed some of the fish alongside the seaworld explorer.

    Once back on land, cross over the Queen Juliana Bridge, 200 feet above Willemstad and onto the Chobolobo Liqueur Factory, where you will have the opportunity to sample the famous Blue Curaçao Liqueur.


    This excursion will operate by bus and semi-sub. The Chobolobo Factory generally closes on Sundays and bank holidays. This visit will be replaced with the Caribbean Handicraft Store, where liqueur tasting will still be offered. The seaworld explorer is not suitable for those who suffer from seasickness. You may choose to end your tour in Willemstad and make your own way back to the quayside. This tour involves limited walking; however guests must be able to negotiate a 200 metre walk from the bus to the Seaworld Explorer, as well as 9 steep steps on and off. Participants in the liqueur sampling must be 18 years of age or over.

  • Island Tour and Hato Caves

    Combine Curaçao’s countryside with some of the island’s most visited attractions.

    Island Tour and Hato Caves

    Travel into the countryside, passing salt flats and flamingos before arriving at the Hato Caves. This dramatic collection of grottoes is filled with stalactites, stalagmites and crystal-clear pools, centuries in the making.

    Afterwards, you will head to the Curaçao Museum which was founded in 1946, and combines contemporary art with an exhibition of life in 19th century Curaçao. During your tour, enjoy a brief stop at the Chobolobo Liqueur Factory, giving you an ideal opportunity to taste and purchase the locally distilled Curaçao liqueur.

    Cross the Queen Juliana Bridge and catch a glimpse of the wonderful view over Willemstad.

    This excursion will operate by coach and on foot. The Chobolobo Factory generally closes on Sundays and bank holidays. This visit will be replaced with the Caribbean Handicraft Store, where liqueur tasting will still be offered. There are approximately 50 steps to negotiate when entering the caves and some steps once inside. The terrain is uneven and gravel in parts and can become slippery. Comfortable, non-slip shoes are essential. The caves can be warm and humid. Guests are requested not to touch the formations in Hato Caves for environmental reasons. Photography is only permitted in certain areas of the Caves. Participants in the liqueur sampling must be 18 years of age or over. If you wish to remain in Willemstad after your tour, please note that you will be responsible for your own return to the quayside.

  • Curacao Creations & L'aldea

    Discover Aloe Vera and the local crafted ‘Chichi’ and visit the island’s latest attraction in L’aldea, a replica themed rainforest.

    A pleasant drive passing by Willemstad and through the island countryside will take you to the Aloe Vera Plantation. Here, an interesting and educational tour will show you the many uses of this plant which can be found widespread on the island.

    Afterwards you’ll continue to Serena’s Art Factory for a short stop to admire the hand crafted ‘Chichi’, meaning ‘big sister’ in Papiamentu. The figurines are all unique and represent a smart, strong, happy and caring sister that everyone deserves and illustrate a well rounded Caribbean figure.

    To round off your tour, you’ll head to L’aldea, the location of ‘Amazonia the Lost Cultures’ a recreation of a Mayan and Inca world with a rainforest, replica temple ruins and pyramids. Within the attraction, you’ll find over 130 species of animal including parrots, iguana’s and many more. A leisurely stroll through the attraction will allow you to take a step back in time. Discover how the ancestry of Mesoamerica and the Caribbean affected the customs and language of today.

    Relax on the return journey as you take in the last views of Curacao before arriving back at the pier.

    This tour will operate by minibus and on foot. This tour involves around 1½ hours of walking over relatively flat ground. Guests must be accompanied by the guide at all times during the visit to L’aldea.   • Speedboat Adventure

    Experience a thrilling speedboat ride, and enjoy some swimming at the beach, and a spot of snorkelling.

    Speedboat Adventure

    After a bus transfer of around 30 minutes you’ll board your speedboat for an exhilarating ride through the crystal clear waters of the Caribbean Sea. As you speed through the water and along the coast, you’ll experience wonderful scenery.

    Hold on tight as your Captain navigates the boat around Devil’s Corner, before continuing to the Spanish Water Lagoon, where you’ll cruise past mangroves and small islands.

    A stop will be made at a beach, where you’ll have around one hour to soak up the sun and enjoy a dip in the clear blue sea.

    Back on board your speedboat, your fun-filled ride continues, before pausing at a popular snorkel site, to allow you to try your hand at a spot of snorkelling.

    Your return journey takes you past several small coves and bays, before re-boarding your bus for the journey back to the pier.

    During your tour light refreshments of soft drinks and crisps or fruit will be offered.
