    An opportunity to spend a few hours relaxing at the Spice Beach Club.

    Just a short drive from the port is the Spice Beach Club. Upon arrival, you will be given a quick orientation and a welcome refreshment, before enjoying around 2½ hours at your leisure.

    Relax on a sun lounger, take a stroll along the beach or perhaps enjoy a swim in the Caribbean sea or the on-site swimming pool.

    At the end of your stay, you will meet at the designated time and place for the return drive to the port.

    Note: This tour involves limited walking, however guests must be able to negotiate steps onto and off the coach or minibus. There are also steps to negotiate within the Beach Club and varying terrain which includes asphalt and wooden decking. This tour is unguided, however a local company representative will accompany the tour. One welcome drink is included. Additional refreshments are available for purchase if required. Please remember to wear swimwear, take a towel and sunscreen. There is limited shade on the beach. Water shoes are recommended due to the coral stone in the sea. The Beach Club is not exclusive to Cunard and may become busy. There may be independent suppliers on the beach that offer watersports. These are provided by parties unconnected to Cunard.     Enjoy a tranquil cruise around the eco-area of Bonaire’s remarkable mangrove reserve.

    Experience the interesting Mangrove Eco Centre, where you can learn much about the delicate environment and the plentiful wildlife.

    Board a unique solar-powered boat and your informative guide will enlighten you with his extensive knowledge of the fascinating mangrove reserve, nursery and coral reef. Have your camera at the ready as you look out for the interesting inhabitants of the mangrove while you cruise gently by.

    Afterwards, you may wish to visit the small shop and purchase a souvenir of your visit.

    During your tour you will be offered refreshments of water or juice.

    Note: Children under six may not participate. This tour operates a similar itinerary to that of BNA006, but the mode of transport will be a flat-bottom boat rather than a kayak. There is little walking involved on this tour, however guests must have a degree of agility to be able to negotiate the one foot-high step onto and off the boat. Please wear flat comfortable non slip shoes that can get wet. The boats do not have shade, so please take a hat and sun protection. Insect repellent is also required.     After a short drive you will arrive at the Mangrove Eco Centre, declared a ‘National Park Preserve’ by the Bonairean government. Visitors can only enter with an experienced nature guide, who will accompany you and provide a fascinating insight into the inter-relationship between plants and animals in this area.

    Take a fascinating kayak tour through the mangroves eco-system. Glide through bird habitats and fish spawning areas on your ‘sit on’ ocean kayak. The kayak provides an ideal mode of transport in this beautiful and tranquil environment, as you manoeuvre with ease through the mangrove shallows.

    Afterwards, you may wish to visit the small shop to purchase a souvenir of your visit.

    An amazing opportunity to tour Bonaire by Harley Davidson motorbike.

    Discover Bonaire in the most unique way as you take to the roads on a Harley Davidson.

    Just a short drive from the pier is the Harley meeting point. Upon arrival, you will be given brief formalities before setting off with your guide. Your scenic ride will head north along the coast road. Enjoy a stop at ‘1000 steps’ dive site, which offers lovely views across the Caribbean sea.

    Your convoy will then continue inland to the Gotomeer Salt Lake, where you may be lucky enough to catch sight of the islands Pink Flamingoes. You will then head to the village of Rincon for a stop to enjoy a complimentary bottle of water. Riding south, you will view the salt flats and the historical slave huts. These tiny huts were used to house the workers of the salt industry.

    Your experience nears to an end as you pass by the Willemstoren Lighthouse, before arriving back at the Harley meeting point.

    Note: Depending on the ships berth, the meeting point may be within walking distance (around five minutes) and the bus drive may not be applicable. Riders must be over 25 and bring a full, valid motorcycle licence and major credit card for insurance formalities. Debit cards are not accepted. The price of this tour is per bike, so if wishing to take a pillion passenger (must be over 18) only one ticket needs to be purchased. The choice of bike model is subject to availability.     Prepare to discover the ‘wild-side’ of Bonaire on this exciting off-road adventure by All Terrain Vehicle.

    After a short instruction and safety briefing, you will leave Kralendijk and head off to the east coast of Bonaire. En route experience, the rugged terrain of Washikemba Reservoir, and keep an eye out for wild donkeys, goats and iguanas. Enjoy a short stop at the Spelonk Lighthouse, the easternmost point of Bonaire.

    The adventure continues to one of Bonaire’s many caves, which are home to the Bonairean bat species. An exploration of the cave will reveal these delightful insect-eating creatures.

    The return journey will take you through the area of Bolivia, taking in views of the ocean, before heading back to Kralendijk.

    Note: Pregnant women, guests over 65 or under 18 may not participate. A full clean driving licence is required. Guests must listen to a safety briefing and perform simple manoeuvres to demonstrate competence. This tour is sold one bike per person, pillion passengers are not allowed.     There is no better place than Bonaire to try diving for the first time. Enjoy an underwater adventure in Bonaire’s Marine Park, rated as one of the top dive destinations in the world. This trip takes you one step further than snorkelling and provides you with a guided dive in shallow water.

    After an orientation, you will learn how to use scuba equipment before going on an actual dive just minutes from the quayside on Chachacha Reef.

    Note: Wet suits are not included, but can be hired at an additional cost. The course is for non-certified divers. The tour duration is dependent on participants and local sea conditions. A PADI medical questionnaire must be completed. This tour is accompanied by a Dive Master and includes equipment and transportation. Children may not participate.     BONAIRE 4x4 ADVENTURE

    Capture the beauty of Bonaire on a 4x4 Adventure.

    You will be met at the pier by your 4x4 driver guide, and after a short introduction, set off in your jeep.

    Your journey will start on-road as you drive towards the east coast of Bonaire. This side of the island offers a more rugged coastline, which you will soon discover, when your tour heads off-road. Experience spectacular views, giant cactus trees and look out for wild donkeys and iguanas along the way.

    Afterwards, your journey will take you to Sorobon Beach famous for its windsurfing, before heading back on-road along the south coast. En route, a photograph stop will be made to view the historical slave huts; these tiny huts were used to house the workers of the salt industry.

    You will then continue to view the snow white salt flat mounds. Here, you may be lucky enough to see some of the islands pink flamingos. Your guide will also provide some interesting facts on the salt production in the area, before the return drive to the pier.

    Experience sailing on board an authentic, hand-carved 56-foot Siamese sailing junk.

    Board a small rigid inflatable tender boat for a short transfer out to the ‘Samur’.

    Set sail and glide smoothly through the Caribbean waters as the large red sail hovers gently above in the breeze. During your sail, the captain and crew will share their knowledge of the history behind the Siamese sailing junk.

    Discover the fascinating facts of the reef as you head towards the uninhabited island of Klein Bonaire. Upon arrival at Klein Bonaire, the tender boat will transfer you to the beach where you have the chance to snorkel, swim or simply unwind on the pristine white sand.

    Once back on board ‘Samur’, refreshments of rum punch, soft drinks and a platter of tropical fruits will be served as you enjoy a leisurely return sail.

    Discover the two things that Bonaire is famous for, flamingos and salt.

    Enjoy a leisurely drive to the south east of the island through the preserved mangrove areas. En route your guide will be on the look out for the leggy, pink shy flamingo, with its deep pink coral feathers it is especially beautiful in the wild. Amongst the landscape and seascape you’re also likely to catch sight of donkeys and goats that are common place in the area.

    A short stop will be made at Sorobon Beach to view the beautiful bay, before heading to the Salt Flats. The Salt Flats are home to the protected Flamingo Sanctuary and where more flamingos may be sighted. It is also an important site on which the Bonaire Salt is produced and your guide will provide interesting facts on the salt production history.

    Afterwards, a stop will be made at the Slave Huts, where you can go inside the original huts that served as shelters for the slaves working the saltpans.

    Your return drive will allow you to enjoy more of the surrounding scenery of Bonaire.

    For certified divers, this is an opportunity not to be missed.

    Bonaire is rated as the number one Caribbean dive destination.

    Enjoy a one tank boat dive to two sites, which includes a 15 minute extended check-out dive, and a dive at an alternative site.

    Note: All participants must pay a mandatory US$10 Marine Park Fee, which cannot be pre-paid; please ensure that you carry this cash payment with you. To participate in a certified dive you must hold a PADI open water scuba certification or BSAC Ocean Diver certification. Divers with a PADI Junior Open Water or a PADI Scuba Dive rating cannot be accepted due to the depth limits imposed. In line with the sports-diving industry we advise divers to undertake a refresher course if they have not been diving within the last six months. You must be aged 15 or over, carry your dive certification card with you, and your diving log or proof of a recently completed refresher course. If you are a certified diver but unable to meet our requirements, we advise taking the Discover Scuba tour. The tour duration is dependent on both divers and local conditions, so a return time cannot be confirmed. Equipment includes one tank, weights, BC, regulator, mask, fins and snorkel. Wetsuits may be hired at extra cost. Those with asthma, diabetes, heart problems, epilepsy or sinus problems may be declined from the dive. A PADI medical questionnaire must be completed.   • BONAIRE NATURE WALK

    BONAIRE NATURE WALK

    Discover the natural beauty of Bonaire on a delightful nature walk.

    Embark on a scenic drive to Tras Montana, located in the mid north of the island. Upon arrival, your guide will offer a short briefing before embarking on your hour long nature walk.

    As you head along the trail, your guide will provide interesting facts about the area and point out the various flora and fauna. Keep a look out for some of the islands wildlife, including donkeys and iguanas.

    A stop will be made at a local plantation, referred to as a Kunuku. Here, you will see traditional limestone ovens, preparation stones and other handmade cooking tools. Learn of the local culture and how these were used in days gone by. A sample of locally made lemon and tamarind juice will also be offered.

    As you reach the end of your walk, you will have the opportunity to relax and enjoy a refreshment, before rejoining your minibus for the return drive to the port.

    Note: Children under 10 and pregnant women may not participate. Guests must be in good physical condition and have no medical conditions. This tour involves approximately 1½ hours of walking at a relatively moderate pace. The terrain is rough, slightly inclined and uneven in parts and may be slippery when wet. The off-trail walking is optional. Flat, non slip, comfortable closed walking shoes are essential. It is recommended you take a hat and sunscreen.

    BEST OF BONAIRE

    Discover the landscape of Bonaire, and experience the island’s culture at the Kings Warehouse.

    Enjoy a scenic drive along the stunning northern coastline, where you can marvel at the spectacular colour contrasts of the azure blue Caribbean sea. The rustic landscape is adorned with Candelabra Cacti, and the famous Divi Divi trees can also be seen in this area.

    The natural reserve of Gotto Lake, considered by many to be the most beautiful spot on the island, is where you may be lucky enough to glimpse the shy pink flamingo. You will pass by the fresh water well, Dos Pos which attracts some of the local fauna and continue through Rincon Village. Built by Spanish explorers in the 14th century, the village is still home to some of the descendants today.

    Your next stop is at the Kings Warehouse and Folkloric Museum, the island’s second oldest building which now forms part of a Cultural Park. Guides in traditional folkloric dress will show you authentic replicas of the stick, stone and wood houses built by Bonaire’s early inhabitants.
    Enjoy a musical presentation of local instruments and if time permits, you may wish to browse the souvenir shop.

    To round off your tour, your return drive will stop at Seru Largo, which offers a fabulous panoramic view over Kralendijk and Klein Bonaire.

    Note: Walking is at guests’ discretion, however to derive full enjoyment at the Kings Warehouse some walking is required. The terrain includes some uneven and gravel ground.
