Lisbon cruises

Portugal’s capital spreads its ancient sites on seven steep hillsides that overlook the Tagus River. Feast your eyes on St. George’s Castle which overlooks the city atop the highest hill, or the countless balconies ablaze with geraniums and wrought iron lamps that light up the medieval Alfama quarter. Wander up to the Bairro Alto where you may hear the voices of the sorrowful fado singers ring out from cafés.

Excursions

Please note: The shore excursions listed are typical for this port. The full programme of shore excursions available for your cruise will be displayed on Cruise Personaliser at least 12 weeks prior to departure.

Transfer to Óbidos - The Christmas Village

A maze of quaint cobbled streets and brightly painted houses, Óbidos is picture perfect all year round, but extra magical in December when the medieval village is transformed into a small ‘Christmas Village’. Encircled by medieval walls, Óbidos’ centrepiece is an imposing 12th Century castle. This former fortress and royal palace was recently voted one of the ‘Seven Wonders of Portugal’ and during the lead up to Christmas it appears almost enchanted.

Afterwards, you will have free time to wander around Óbidos and visit the small Christmas Village area with its magical Christmas tale setting. Featuring a dream carousel and a Santa Claus House, it is perfect for children and the ‘young at heart’ and you are sure to be filled with Christmas Spirit after your visit.
